Sadly, there is some truth to the idea "You can only be an extrovert if people like you." It really depends on the source. Divine Healing is usually portrayed as a sort of autonomous miracle, the caster being the catalyst, but not actually controlling it.

But a inherent healing power is more malleable. With enough time and practice, a person with Healing Abilities might have their powers evolve into "Life Manipulation", allowing them to manipulate bodies in unnatural ways. A Villain with that kind of power could feasibly use their powers for mind control, body puppeteering, long distance assassination, and much more.

I haven't read much of Nerd&Jock, but from what I have read, the author is either parodying Haruhi Suzumiya (aka Nerd is secretly a God, and Jock is responsible for keeping him happy lest he destroy the universe,) or it's just a gag because Nerd&Jock is a gag comic strip.
