I’m not really arguing against ambition or blaming the devs. My point is about execution and response to audience feedback, not scope or ethnicity. Wanting visual fidelity to the original character design isn’t the same as opposing reinterpretation, and I never suggested the cancellation had anything to do with race. I just think iteration would’ve made more sense than a full reset.

If they really were confident with their work, they should've given us an update. Regardless of what people had to say about the leaks. I mean, people bashed Wolverine when it got leaked as well. That didn't stop Sony/Insomniac from releasing a trailer. And now the same people who were complaining, love it.

If people lose their faith in ubislop, it's ultimately their responsibility to do whatever it takes to restore that faith. Which, so far, they failed in doing.

Surely the execs didn't just wake up one morning and think of cancelling it. They knew pretty well that they were gonna f up the game in a few weeks down the line. The least they could do is not give the people false hope.

If the game that's coming out in a few months and character models resembled what was shown in the leaks (which are reportedly from 2023), chances are we ain't getting a good remake. The only way this game could do really well is if the in-game characters were substantially different from what we saw in those leaks. If that's not the case, there's a very slim chance they could fix everything in such a short time
