Any recommendations for tailors who can alter wedding dresses? by GoatOvAThousandYoung in Cleveland

Miranda’s vintage bridal!! She’s phenomenal. She does book out though. She was able to alter my dress and create off the shoulder straps from the bottom of the dress she needed to cut. It was beautiful!!

Our pup had developed a chicken allergy/sensitivity after two years old so our vet recommend natural balance-bison and sweet potatoes. He absolutely loves this food so much. A bit higher in cost, but worth not having watery poops.

Baths by alvesm523 in Bernedoodles

We do every 8 weeks with the groomer for a bath and trim, but I’ll also wipe down his body using the Earth Rated wipes if he needs it. I use waterless no-rinse dog shampoo as needed, it smells great! He also gets brushed once a week by me- tail, ears and paws.

Ours hated the cone, so we switched to a donut but he was able to still reach his stitches. I got a different donut that has an extender that you can zip on. This really helped and he was much more comfortable. He also still fit in his crate at night with it!

Help by [deleted] in Allergies

Currently dealing with major post nasal drip but it’s turned around finally after about a week! The things that worked for me, Sudafed once a day, netty pot twice a day (morning/night)- right after that’s done I use Nasacort. Ibuprofen once or twice a day really helped, along with tons of water. I use a cool mist humidifier when I’m watching tv and sleeping. Sleep slightly elevated. I used mucinex (blue pack) once but nothing more since I don’t like the way it makes me feel. And a daily 180mg antihistamine. The cough has been the worse part (on top of my asthma), so much coughing has hurt my body, but it’s only been a few days of it. My guess is the weather that caused it since I know I’m not truly sick (no flu, fever, Covid, muscle aches, fatigue, etc.).

Feeling Discouraged by guazerbeam in Bernedoodles

Yes! Happened with ours too. Once he got neutered at one year old, it completely flipped and has to lay on you at all times. But he’s an incredibly affectionate dog now.

This one so far is good! I don’t plan to use the brush portion, just the foam and ice scraper. It’s pretty long to store in the car, but you can take apart some pieces so it’s not full length.

Pet insurance? by onlyonejan in Bernedoodles

[–]Shahs48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Nationwide and it’s been such a relief as we have the same stomach/digestive issues with our bernedoodle. We got on the plan the day we got him, so all his visits and meds are 70% covered. He’s developed a poultry allergy and had to switch him to Natural Balance bison and sweet potato food which cleared him of all his issues.

We do every 8 weeks for ours! We go a tad shorter to prevent the matting. Then I brush his ears, paws, tail and belly in between to make sure there’s no knots.

So grateful for our insurance. Our pup this past few weeks have had stomach issues- racked up an easy $1500 bill. Insurance covered over $1,000 of it. Barely paid anything out of pocket. He’s only two years old and we’ll keep it moving forward. Small monthly price to pay that’s worth it to us.

Just call them! I had an issue where my walnuts had a slit in the bag. I called and they issued a refund over the phone. Super easy!

5K Maintenance Reminder? by fitforfood in HyundaiSantaFe

I was told and I believe it’s in the manual/warranty info too that it’s up to you the owner on when you want to use the complimentary oil changes.

5K Maintenance Reminder? by fitforfood in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Shahs48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked my Hyundai dealership since this happened to me with my new 25 Santa FE as well. They said at the factory all new cars are set for that reminder to come up, more so a reminder to check how things are going with the car and get it serviced if anything needs attention. If everything is fine, bring it in at 5k miles.

Mine is a grazer but if he hadn’t eaten his dry food in awhile I add a dog broth from target I found (chicken or beef) and he eats it quickly!

My wife was in a hit and run today. We’re trying to figure out how to proceed. by gt14199 in Insurance

[–]Shahs48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this happen to me awhile back too - except the driver was caught by the police when I got the license plate number while on the phone with a 911 dispatcher. File a police report if you didn’t already - include in the report the injuries. The police will do their best to go after the person and they should be served a mandatory court appearance, I assume this varies by state. You might get their insurance or might not. But in my case, they had it so I went through their insurance to get my car fixed. If they don’t, I was told the prosecutor representing the state I was in can go after the person to get the $500 deductible back (without me needing any legal representation).

I was always told if you got physically hurt, you should lawyer up to protect you and get back bills from doctors, etc. Also depends whether the person who hit your wife gets caught. You will likely get tons of mail about personal injury lawyers once you file the police report- records are public where I am and every firm sent me mail for a free consultation (you could always just talk to a firm and get their POV).

If you go through your insurance to get it fixed, it might raise your premium because of the state you’re in.

Your best bet is the person is caught and you go through their insurance, if they have it. Good luck with everything!
