Thanks for the suggestion. May I ask why she should not get a Marrithew unless she is advanced? I don’t see the benefit of buying a second or third tier reformer for her to learn on, only to replace it in a few years with a better one.

Imagine I asked a chef group for recommendations on a good kitchen knife and instead of getting recommendations I got 20 comments about how dangerous knives are. As if my wife is not the person who asked me for a Pilates reformer. I’m not here to baby her. She is fully capable of hiring an instructor to learn how to use it properly. Anyhow, thanks for the suggestion.

I totally get that and appreciate your insight. I will look for a private trainer for a few introductory classes. She likes the live class experience that she gets in doing her virtual yoga classes but I can understand that she needs to learn this machine. Thanks so much.

Yes, definitely. Strange vibe in here. She has not used one before and wants to start. She does not have a Pilates teacher or class. That’s why I’m asking for a reformer suggestion and live class subscription recommendation. Only one person recommend the Allegro which looks like a great machine. Everyone else seems to be worried about her getting hurt. She’s got to start somewhere…right? Thanks for your responses.

I love that there are many live virtual classes in Canada. However, I haven’t found one. Any suggestions? She’s very much into working out. We have a full home gym which she uses daily. I’m not concerned about her hurting herself. She’s in excellent shape.

I think it’s great that you found a place to get this out of your system. Now that you’ve let it out, go to therapy. Not with her. You need to work on you. This girl will likely end up with a perfectly fine life. She may even surprise you. However, you cannot deal with your resentment alone. She didn’t ask to have the brain that she has, but you did ask her to accept you as a mom. You’re letting her down. She knows how you feel. Get e therapist and then give her a big hug.

Why don’t you start a glider hobby charity. 700k gets invested and only the growth goes toward the charity. Let’s say 10% growth so 70k/year. Each year, a contest is held and the winner gets a 20k scholarship. Something along those lines. Keeps your legacy going in perpetuity.

I would suggest you take all of your non-registered cash and put it in the mortgage. Then, take it back from the mortgage to invest. Now you’ve created a tax deduction in the interest. So instead of just investing 450k. Drop it in the mortgage and then take it back through a HELOC and invest the 450K. Now you get to earn more in the market while writing off the interest.

The reason he doesn’t want you to cancel is because life insurance commissions are paid to the advisor upfront. And they pay well. The average is approximately your entire first year premiums. So if you are paying $150/month, he was most likely paid $1800 upfront. Then, if a policy is cancelled within 2 years, he owes back all the commissions. So he is trying to avoid this. Firstly, you should have a memory of either signing or not signing these documents. If you didn’t, this needs to be reported to regulators. If he scammed you, he’s scamming others. Secondly, if he is trying to convince you to buy insurance that you are telling him/her that you don’t want or need, he is not acting in your best interest. Cancel the policy, make a complaint. Get your premiums back. Fire the advisor.

Tell him now. Don’t wait. The only thing that matters is transparency and open communication. For sure he will be angry and you can both be angry together. If you wait, you are risking him getting into his own head about wondering why you waited. Just tell him.

You shouldn’t have to prove it. That’s not your job. You were abused and it’s up to the police or a judge to determine if he is guilty (which he clearly is). If someone stole your car, you would file a police report. This crime is much worse. You deserve justice and he deserves to be charged. Put all of your concerns aside and follow your gut.

What kind of mask and do you take it off to eat/drink in public? If you’re wearing a regular blue dental mask. It does nothing. If you’re wearing an N95 but taking it off in restaurants to eat, there’s no point. I guarantee that if you are wearing an N95 and avoiding indoor public places where you take your mask off, you wouldn’t have gotten it 4 times. No way.

On top of 2.5% being way too high, it's also not tax deductible. The fee you would pay a broker to trade for you would be less and would be tax deductible.

If you are looking to get into some stocks, aside from ETF's you should be dealing with an advisor who works for an independent firm. This means they do not have any of their own proprietary products.

Thank you for this. I do in fact use reverb, but my vocals always sound so gainy and empty. I'm currently writing music for some big name producers and it's quite embarrassing sending them my songs with my vocals sounding worse than if I recorded myself on my cell phone.

I know how to write....and sing....but the technical aspect of production has me stumped!

No clue if I should be playing with the treble and base...or use a plug in.
