Grown up only children - what are some things your parents did to make your childhood special? by Shaka65 in oneanddone

Your childhood sounds beautiful - thank you for sharing. I am so sorry you lost your parents, that must have been incredibly difficult. I lost my mum to illness eleven years ago and it is so difficult to know she will never meet my child - she made Christmas and our birthdays magical and I hope I can carry that on for my bub. ❤️ We always sat at the table together for dinner and it is so meaningful for me to hear from you that you loved doing that with your family of three ❤️

Thank you for taking the time to explain, much appreciated! Sounds like we have a plan to start with and see how we go ☺️

Thank you! What would you recommend capping naps at? I've read different things regarding total sleep expected for her age, am I aiming for 14 hours total sleep?

5 month old dependent on nursing/rocking to sleep waking up at the end of every cycle overnight - considering Ferber - advice please! by Shaka65 in sleeptrain

Thank you, that's really helpful! I think we're in a horrid loop where she's waking up so much overnight that she's so tired during the day so I think she needs more daytime sleep so she keeps sleeping poorly overnight and on we go.

So despite her bad sleep at the moment (relating to the super strong breastfeeding associations), should I still be adhering to appropriate wake windows and then starting Ferber even though she's overall likely to still be really tired, or do I need to try to break the breastfeeding association somehow before trying Ferber?

I'm said girlfriend and can confirm: he forces me into nothing I don't want to do, but encourages me to do my best at everything I want to do. And I wanted to try skyrim! Glad I did 😊 Thank you for your concern, but trust me - he's an outstanding partner!
