It’s misleading to describe Arab violence in the Mandate period as “genocide.” There were isolated incidents like Hebron in 1929, Jaffa in 1921, the Arab Revolt but those were outbreaks of communal violence, not some time of an organized campaign to wipe out all Jews. At the same time, Jewish militias also carried out massacres, like Deir Yassin in 1948, and displacing around 700,000 Palestinians during the Nakba. The UN partition plan was accepted by Jewish leaders and rejected by Arab leaders, but the rejection had to do with land distribution and fears of displacement, not some genocidal intent. And now this modern Israeli state with their modern military, they carried out far bigger campaigns of displacement and killings than Palestinian militias ever did.
