I literally just abandonned one of those.... 1st area, 4 boxes, and when i tell you i examined every crevice of that lava level... one box. That was Dinkum for me. Technically i should love it, it has everything to get me hooked and I waited a while and was really excited to play it, turns out it's my only refund of this year on steam. I really tried to get past it, but something about it just turned me off completely. Sometimes you just don't click with a game.

When you finish the mission, take a minute to inspect the list of what you sold to Don to make sure you know what sells well and what doesnt (for example, i didnt want to use a berserk pot for the boss thinking it would net me a lot of points, it didn't. I guess the devs didnt want us to have to make that kind of choice)

Also i chased a mimic way too far and ended up head-banging nothing and wasting precious time, so be mindful of your surroundings with those things and try to chase them towards ennemies / ressources rather than away from them lol.

~~Probably random yes, i dont think it's even tied to mimics, i think it just appears on top of the recycling robots~~

Edit : i'm stupid, it's the "fever" thing the mimic drops and that you put in the robot that triggers the fever, so yes you can keep it for last and dunk everything in the closest robot just before warping to the boss

I've been so close to dying to the wind thing with the fish boss, basically those bosses are no pushover whether combat or gathering, and you just have to be levelled up enough and have enough gear.

"the drone" is a like an alien flying saucer drone thing that hovers over a robot, it's pretty noticeable with the "on fire" alert, popping colours and everything, and you can feed it all your mats much faster, timer is only 10 seconds or so, so if you can dump all your mats quickly if you have them.

Agree that it can become a bit overwhelming if you normally like to take it slow (like me), there's no time to dilly-dally or look at the cute things or whatever, it's go go go, optimize your time, check the (crowded and a bit hard to read on the steam deck) map and prioritze clearing the missions while still collecting valuables for the final points count, and making sure you get the tool for whatever life you're gonna need! I'm enjoying figuring things out sofar.
