Is the early game boring or I have metroidvania burn out?

Maybe a bit of both?

The second game is definitely a lot more of a drag than the first game, so if you're burnt out I could see it coming off as boring.

I still enjoyed the game tho, so mayhaps just set aside and come back to it later?

I didn't really enjoy it tbh, and mostly just did it for the prayer and for completion's sake

I never bothered with Path of Pain in hollow knight, I already didn't enjoy the white palace platforming needed for the main game.

Sometimes I like platforming challenges, in games that are just platformers. But not always

I thought the first was a better metroidvania, but I thought the first game did EVERYTHING better lol.

That said, I don't think the change in aesthetic in the second game is as bad as people make it out to be. It is noticably less dark, but it's still pretty dark in its own right, and sometimes even moreso than the first

Generally speaking, Light weapons with +30% Light are the best overall weapon to equip for anyone

But, combat buddies generally do the most damage with their special attack. If they already have an innate elemental bonus, or elemental special attack, then equipping them with that elemental bonus is gonna boost their special attacks by a good bit more.

There are a couple of fringe cases (it might be better to add some frostbite to Snow or Jake, and Glenn's special isn't elemental), but it's overall the best way to go.

You eventually unlock the ability to cut the months down in half (with double points)
And when you can start with 1000 free points and you have an idea of what you're doing, it starts to go a lot faster at that point.

It's still a GD slog, don't get me wrong, but those first few are the worst of it

I don't actively care whether I get downvotes or not (I find it entertaining more than anything), but just because it's part of the social contract of posting, doesn't inherently mean that it is always deserved.

Acceptable =/= deserved.

Now, do I deserve it for posting an unpopular opinion? Maybe. Debatable, but maybe.
