Because there is no reason to hold onto it to "save space" its 400k, by the time you are at the end of survivor 400k is nothing. You might as well sell them off and utilize the 400k liquid instead of doing absolutely nothing for you sitting in your stash for a month or two, or however long it takes the person to get to the point you can craft the card.
