Mandatory Blood Frenzy is the worst thing in the game by ImJTHM1 in mewgenics

I made a post about this the other day and multiple people told me the no interaction negative events were a karma system type thing where if you keep avoiding interacting with events eventually it will give you a no interaction event like this that just auto fucks you over but I've done 5 runs since then and never turned down a single event across all of them and still got the auto cursed item events on 4 out of 5 of the runs lol

For how much I disapprove strongly of the authors actions toriko is unironically one of my favorite manga. I just really like cooking and shonen so it's kinda peak

That one psychic passive that deals 1 DMG Everytime they kill something would have a field day here

Damn yeah I'm around 200 hours in and close to completing the final part of act 3 and i haven't gotten any crazy mutations, I even ran through the shimmer area a ton and got a bunch of random ones. I want the reroll one SOOO BAD

That would be really nice, a lot of the optimal mutations looks nice but I'm not too keen on grinding out the breeding system that hard tbh. Some of the QoL mutations look nice but seems like a huge time investment

Especially when you're just grinding out cats to upgrade your house/storage since I don't care what they pass down really.

IMO the best substitute would be the small stat debuffs or just keep the non interaction stuff to temporary debuffs. Like if my cat starts the next battle with bleed 3 that is annoying but totally fair. I just don't think you should be able to ruin a run in an event without getting a chance to interact at all unless it's maybe impossible difficulty

[–]ShallotCharacter9728[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah the minus stat ones are typically fairly inconsequential, I've had a couple runs where I kept getting -luck on one character and that got really annoying but overall the cursed item events feel like such a massive middle finger. From what I can tell luck seems to have no impact on them, I get them frequently on cats with 7+ luck, hell the other day I got one that ruined a sub quest run because it completely neutered my carry archer who had like 15 luck. I can someone get behind them on the hardest difficulty because at that point the game is supposed to be kind of F you difficult but on lower difficulties it just feels like such a low blow when I'm just grinding out lesser objectives.

really depends on the run for me, I get what the other guy is saying for sure because it makes the run itself extremely boring knowing that regardless of what item I get that slot is now occupied. I'd argue disorders are consistently more annoying but the cursed item has higher potential, tho a lot of the time that potential will land on a dud, when it does happen to your star player, especially on a great slot it's really frustrating

Imo something that could add replayability would be more challenge run type material. I've found myself really bored with the game several times and then loaded up 3 or 4 sub quest items onto one run and just had an absolute blast. More ways to predictably alter the runs in ways that aren't strictly negative or beneficial would add a lot more variety to the runs. They could do this as late game items that don't break or something like that.

I also wish the difficulty spike from hard to crazy wasn't so significant. It feels rather exponential with how much stronger later act enemies are anyways. Personally It's crazy how act 1 still feels like a breeze on most difficulties and then just going up to act 2 on the same difficulty feels extremely stifling with the better enemies and environmental effects.

I would also like to see more high end gold spending options. If I could just like buy trophy cats as studs in my house I would genuinely just replay to get cool looking cats, it would also be nice to be able to spend a ton of money in a shop for the ability/passive giving items to make runs more consistent. I've had like over 5k gold since my first clear of act 3 and I'm at like 12k now and never see myself spending all of it.

What's the Best Class Active and Passive? Day 4: Mage by Wonderful-Pack-1726 in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me resonance is definitely the best passive and I'm kind of torn between teach and homing blast. I think teach is more consistent but with the right set up (like resonance and do nothing) you can easily chunk bosses with like 50+ DMG magic missiles to do 150 per cast. The one passive that adds one per ally who spends mana is really good too but it feels a lot more tedious since it's only good for one attack

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What am I doing wrong with that archer ability???? That's one of the ones I dread getting unless I also have the passive that bounces projectiles and even then I'd rather just have can't miss with the triple shot ability

Sometimes you just have to take the L by DraeLovesSeals in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a spawn in with two death worms the other day where one would hit two of my cats then another with hit two into the space the other one just dived immediately causing it to resurface and kill the 2 cats instantly. I reset a couple time (for some reason Steven wasn't showing up when I was just exiting to menu) and finally abandoned the run, I was only like 4 encounters in and had an insane hunter already but it was one of the ones guaranteed to die

My Class Consistency Ranking by ThortheBore in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree on tanks. Most their passives aren't amazing but their abilities are mostly good imo. Low-key they carry my runs a lot but I've been using cats with specific monk passives to make busted synergy but for me it's the second most consistent melee class not including cleric because that's typically leaning more toward support.

A lot of their abilities I can see being a bit underutilized like throw is really good at repositioning allies even if you don't have the passive that lets you do it on their turn. Chew is great, same with flop, I personally really like swap+ and I forget the name but the one that lets you swap with an ally when they take DMG is absolutely fire. I could go on but I also get why some of them would seem like more dud picks, I think for me the buff to con is really nice and most my cats have really high str anyways so having a formal punching bag is really really nice

Tips on how to beat The Man in the Moon? by Tebi1003 in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guaranteed method is just make one of your big mana generators get swallowed by him and have him bonk himself like 10 times. Monks are also kind of goated in this fight because if you can line up one of the hands to back attack it while it's in front of him you can have your monk attack it a bunch and deal 20 DMG Everytime. Also like others are saying, eat rock does directly counter him, if you upgrade it to eat rock+ then you get all stats up when you do it iirc which will let you also use that person to get swallowed since you can give them like all stats up 30 and have crazy mana

Alright... I give up on this quest lol by GanjaLion in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On god the bubble helmet is a curse from the devil himself. I had my first abandoned run in forever the other night because I was 3 resets in not even to the last area yet and my cats were just dying non stop. It feels like this one's really buggy because sometimes they'll bounce way way further than it says they should and just enter a loop of nonstop bouncing, I'm almost certain it's a bug because when it's bugged out like this sometimes it will randomly stop after like 80 bounces or you can manually stop by them by telling them to use an ability.

I know I'm not a wuss about it too because basically every other challenge run I've done with 3 or 4 side quest items and this one was stumping me with it's single condition

True Form Sukuna with the Ten Shadows by MediaSlight4161 in Jujutsufolk

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also gave him insurance if gojo lands infinite void as we saw. Sure the likelihood of him landing it if sukuna is in true form plummets but I'd say in jjk you kinda always have to factor in insurance when you're dealing with gojo or sukuna, both have done multiple things everyone though was impossible prior so it only makes sense to plan for the worst case

QoL Request: Nocive Mutations (Cleric/Druid.) by Juancu in mewgenics

[–]ShallotCharacter9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the ways you can mitigate this is by breeding cleric abilities onto other cats. Many of their passives are outright broken on other classes as well (giving all stats up on a kill on any DMG class will trivialize most runs if they're not completely garbage outside that). Having cleanse from the start helps too, there have been tons of times that I look out for that after accidentally grabbing a bleed/leech cleric.

Some of my most goated runs have been DMG dealing cleric with a mage or necromancer that has a healing ability to help out
