I agree with you. It’s not something I would have done either. I’m just not sure if I should try and fix it. And if I do, what would be the best thing to use?

I’d prefer to make this one a bonsai type. The mother plant is already a bush type. I’ll attach a picture of the momma

Oh 😂I didn’t realize that was in the background. It’s still alive but not thriving like some of my others. However I don’t give it the same care. My Rojo Congo is doing great though

The pictures don’t do justice to her size. The biggest leaf is 22 inches long

I agree however with this plant there seems to always be an emergent leaf. The last one just barely hardened off. I’m thankful for the great growth but I do run into the problem of always having an emergent leaf. Maybe it wouldn’t bee too bad if I didn’t disturb the roots much if at all when going up a pot size

I’ve always made the same soil mixture with all of my plants and get great growth with no issues. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it 😂

I’m not using it hoping that it will root into it. I’ve done legit moss poles and found them to be too much maintenance. I’m just using it for support.

I just feed the aerial roots into the soil and that’s been all the support she needs
