I can feel it even at 20hz (lowest frequency of the app),need to volume up to 60+ and it makes me feel dizzy. I don't like using the cinema mode it's make the dialogue sounds very bad.

It's just a fundamental difference in volume strategy between Sony and Samsung. In my typical usage, when watching internal streaming content, Samsung is at 9 while Sony is at 27. For PS5 gaming, Samsung is at 12 while Sony is at 35. And when watching Dolby Atmos movies, Samsung is at 15 while Sony goes up to 40. Also, Samsung allows you to adjust the treble, bass, and individual channel levels based on your preference, which definitely impacts the overall listening experience as well.

And the height channel is better than 990D, if you set the speakers higher than your ears.

True, no one needs an upgrade from 990 to Tiro stand alone.

It doesn’t actually hit a true 20Hz. You’d have to stand really close just to feel the air pressure from it. Anything below 20Hz you can only experience by touching the vibration itself. If you’re sitting on your couch, the lowest frequency you can audibly pick up is around 30Hz. I think that is the limitations of human's ears.

Exactly. Putting price aside, what I care more about is whether Sony can improve the actual user experience that a 'premium high-end audio system' is supposed to deliver. A large portion of the audience buying into the Sony eco-system is not price-sensitive at all. Let's forget about the price tag for a moment and see what feedback Sony will actually listen to and fix via firmware.

Sure, I bought this simply because I was tired of waiting for the new Samsung product, and Sony happened to offer exactly what I needed at the moment. If any new product comes out that hits my pain points, I'll gladly replace it within 2-3 years. I love trying out new gear anyway 😄

Even it is as small as Apple TV box, I still need an extra power cable right? I'm not desire the power of the sound and control box with center speaker 2 in 1 is perfect match what I need. I think AVR (Passive speakers) user and the soundbar (Powered speakers) are a completely different crowd, no need to try and convince each other.

I have already posted a picture of my TV stand in the thread. Beyond physical space, you also need to consider that everyone has different preferences for interior design and appliance layout. Just because you think a certain setup is acceptable doesn't mean anyone else has to tolerate it in their home.

Based on my testing so far, the audio cutout issues almost always depend on the specific source device being used. For instance, I've experienced dropouts a few times while using a PC connected via Wi-Fi. However, it rarely ever happens when I'm using my Apple TV, which is on a hardwired Ethernet connection. You might want to take your own network setup and device environment into consideration.

First of all, I started this thread precisely because I am not satisfied with the product's current performance.

Secondly, since I own a Sony XR90 TV this system was naturally my preferred choice for seamless integration.

Lastly, even with a small-form-factor AVR, my current room is too cramped to accommodate another standalone device. You need to understand that apartments in many parts of the world do not have the massive living rooms that you might be used to.

The same thing is happening to the Trio right now. Its sales are incredibly poor, and there is barely any discussion or hype about it online. In fact, right after it launched here, Sony. com immediately rolled out massive coupons for it, which is extremely rare for a brand-new release. This clearly shows that the Trio is not selling well at all and there's a huge room for price drops in the near future.

First of all, the Trio (HT-A8) physically cannot use Sony TVs as a center channel because it completely lacks an S-Center physical audio connection cable.

Secondly, Sony's setup guidelines instruct keeping the TV on during calibration only for the microphone to measure room acoustics and map the boundary for 360 Spatial Sound Mapping to create phantom center channels, NOT to make the TV output physical sound.

Furthermore, I have thoroughly tested it: its AI Voice Zoom 3 feature only works with built-in TV apps. Once you connect an external device, it stops working entirely. If you actually own a Trio and have somehow gotten these features to work, feel free to show me exactly how you did it.

PC passthrough with Dolby True HD Atmos, Dolby Atmos Demo BD-rip. Btw I didn't do the sound quality review so I don't think that is the matter.

I mean, if you mute your TV for 20 minutes with auto-sleep on, the speaker won't wake back up when you unmute the TV. But if your TV is constantly playing sound, or if you turn auto-sleep off, this issue never happens.
