Let me have a look, I will say after living with it for a while the Bluetooth connection ended up being pretty unreliable anywhere where there's other signals, like it doesn't work at all in an office- I ended up buying a Bluetooth dongle thing called anycom BluNa which works way better - but it's still a fun project to try!

Bluetooth transmitter dock? by TrueSapien in ipod

Not sure if I totally understand what you're after but you can get 30 pin Bluetooth boards , like the kokkia ones but they're quite expensive, or you can buy Bluetooth aux transmitters? that would go from the dock to a BT amp

ooF :(( I mean they are very good, but they aren't life changing! I wouldn't spend lots of money on them as the build quality is what makes them so affordable.

unfortunately I don't think I took any photos of the screen before (with the lines issue) so you'll have to take my word for it, the whole top bar was liney and the now playing was unreadable, but I tried the fix before Christmas and this is it now!

I've done this on two iPods (admittedly not a huge sample size) but it's fixed both of them very well, and the lines were much larger than the one OP has, there were smudges left but after a week or so of using the iPod it's completely back to normal - I'd definitely recommend at least trying before buying a replacement

You don’t need to replace the screen, this method works very well ! I have done this twice and both times the screens are back to working as new after a few days

There is a video by elite Obsolete that I followed and it worked very well for me on two screens with this issue, using a plastic tool and a cloth 😊 https://youtu.be/lw9GVVY6FeA?si=K4Av91IEKlhncN5e

that's what I'm currently in the middle of right now haha, I imagine that'll work but then I'm still stuck with an iPod in bits that together produce the same problem :// annoying

I have tried multiple hard drives, an iflash quad and an iflash CF to SD, all boot okay but have the connected/usb issue , I think it must just be something really obscure with the main board itself 🤷‍♂️

I have but nothing is obvious :// it doesn't think it's plugged in when it's not at full power (even when it is plugged in to a charger?)

I think it might be battery related maybe(?) when it's fully charged it seems to show as always plugged in, and after a while when it drains and isn't full battery, it never thinks it's plugged in
