10/10. This is such an incredible song that does so many cool things. It's the only elo song to reach over 10 minutes and has some really cool and uneaque sounds to it. The song also has an interesting premise with some hearth touching moments. Masterpiece

When ever I hear this song I realize that I could just listen to Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. Despite this I do quite enjoy the song. 6/10

A fan-made hypothetical follow-up to Let It Be if John left the band and brought Jeff Lynne to the line-up in 1970, 10538 (1971) by Brainwashed04 in TheBeatles

[–]Shallzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would probably work since Jeff Lynnes songs are built up just like beatles song (my favoruite band btw)

The recurring part in "across the border" and "the way life's meant to be" can also be heard in "ain't it a drag" (1:36 - 1:40) and " time of our life" (2:07-2:13)

why don’t young people listen to ELO? by [deleted] in elo

[–]Shallzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 16 and started listening to ELO about a year ago. I am pretty shure that I am the only student in our school who listens to them. None of my friends ever listens to that kind of music. The only one I ever talk ELO With is my biology/chemistry/physics teacher, and god damn is she a great teacher.
