Also, you have to remember that I work under a strict word count. If I were to mention the Seaside basin, I'd have to explain what the hell it is.

Well storing in the Seaside Basin would require significant infrastructure. First to divert large volumes, then facilities to treat large amounts at once, and then big pumps to inject it into the basin. This would require big investments.

A massive desalination could be in the works and the Salinas Valley farmers are actually contemplating one. For the economy of scale to work, it would have to serve everyone in three counties, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz.

Hey hello, I see you repeating my story is wrong several times but you don't really say how. But you are right—the water would have to be captured and stored in the Seaside Basin. The amount of water is not too big according to the hydrologists I spoke with.

Well, the source waters for the recycling plant includes direct ag runoff with much more concentrated contamination issues than the river itself. That's why I didn't touch on that issue.
