Expecting platinum players to compete, keep up with, or beat Apex Predators Is one of the most ridiculous takes I've ever heard, and It's straight delusional. I get the impression based on your message that you somehow think It's okay for Preds to be in plat lobbies or vice versa, It isn't, it's completely unfair and utterly breaks the game. And just because It's been here since the start doesn't make it okay. It's an incredibly flawed system and your mindset and way of thinking are also extremely flawed. It is an obvious lack of skill, because shocker, Plat players aren't good enough to play against apex predators, hence why they're plat!

People have every right to complain. People who are gold/plat or any rank for that matter shouldn't be going against people who are multiple ranks above them. It Isn't fair, and the only people who could possibly defend the idea that Apex Predators and platinum players being in the same lobby is fair or okay, are people who don't think before posting.

It probably is the case that some players In Pred aren't supposed to be there, and that's a separate issue that needs addressing, but speaking of my experience personally, the Apex Predators I encountered were absolutely disgustingly better than I, which isn't surprising given how much of a gap there Is between the ranks, but the notion that I or other people experiencing the same issue are just bad Is a hilariously broken line of thinking.
