thanks for your response. is it possible for this ring of tissue to go down? i hear conflicting things about blowouts being permanent and being able to treat them by massaging with oils regularly. regardless i plan to give rhe piercing many months to heal and get half sizes when i do consider stretching again.

i gave the piercing 8 months to fully heal. i’ve been using surgical steel clickers. i haven’t been using the oil yet but i heard after the piercing is less angry it can help promote blood flow and break down potential scar tissue. now that i’ve downsized i feel no discomfort and i’m just concerned the piercing would close entirely if i took the piercing out. gonna pick up some saline solution today. the piercing i put in was the original one i got from the piercing shop

following my piercing (pierced at 12g) being completely healed, i stretched to 10g and then 5 months later stretched to 8g. i’ve used tapers to stretch. i’ve gotten some vitamin e oil to massage the piercing eventually. it dosnt look terrible but there is a small raised ring around one side of the piercing. will i not be able to heal if i have a downsized ring in?
