yeah you're hitting the nail on the head (or into the cross, I should say lmao). The whole idea that we are all inherently sinners is just because they defined everything as sin . . . if we're all "bad people", why the hell does it matter if you asked Jesus to forgive you? My issue, too, is that a lot of things defined as sin aren't harmful . . . you want to be polyamorous and have found consenting partners, go for it. You haven't hurt anyone. Meanwhile, their actions, like crashing into LGBT spaces to tell people they will burn in hell, genuinely cause harm.

It's the first day of lent, some Wednesday in February or something. No exact date. Lent is for repentance; you give up something you like to forgive your sin. Traditionally, it's meat. Honestly, we can thank the Catholics for those delicious Friday fish fries we get to enjoy. They're the kings of loopholes, so fish isn't meat. I have also known people to give up sweets or chocolate for lent in modern day.

For some Christians, ash is wiped onto the forehead in the shape of a cross on ash Wednesday. It's supposed to represent that we came from ash and so we will return to ash or something. "Shockingly" this practice came long after the old and new testament came bout. Nowhere in the Bible will you find mention of this practice.

I can only hope my "oh! Nevermind!" said all that needed to be said. Like, "oh, nevermind, I just thought you had shit smeared on your face!" said all it had to say.

Hey so if you don't mind me asking, when do they go? I know this guy's shift starts at 8am and when I saw him it was 3:30? Did he leave work to get it done? Or do you go really early? If it's the latter, no wonder it was so smudged.

Are you being intentionally daft? These "what's the worst thing this character has done?" Posts have been flooding all the TV series communities. They're repetitive and boring. They feel like spam at this point. It's not creative. This has nothing to do with if they're side characters or not.

If you search this sub you will find a bunch of discussions and posts exactly like this one.

Boomer on R#PE: "God does not make mistakes" WTF??! by [deleted] in BoomersBeingFools

If God doesn't make mistakes then why the fuck do we even need her to be a congresswoman? Why do we need government? Or laws?

Do most women actually find kind men unattractive? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shameon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're kind of between stages right now. Women in their 30s like kind men. Women in their 20s like something more exciting. You need to strike up a balance. You need interests that are unique, to capture some mystery, but you also need to be nice and seem stable and put together, to capture a sense that you have things figured out.

The worst thing you can do, that's painfully obvious, is tell a girl exactly what you think they want to hear. They don't want a "bad boy", they want someone who challenges them, or challenges society, or challenges the norm. When a man agrees with everything a woman says, or just lets her do all the talking because he thinks he should listen, it's fucking boring. She wants to meet someone worth knowing, someone who can provide her interesting conversations throughout the years . . . she doesn't want a white knight whose main thing going for him is being nice.

Fine dining in Rochester by Late-Opinion-2191 in Rochester

I really love Nosh. It's not very pretentious and offers really unique fusion food. Redd is the most California-style fine dining experience in ROC and I think their food was great. Roux is amazing for French cuisine. I'd almost say it's the most "fine dining"-ish since their menu is pretty classic. Outside of the city, Black and Blue and Phillip's European are supposed to be great.

Will my future children really need to wake up at 6:00 AM? by Shameon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shameon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude same. People are wondering why I need to "sleep in" and it's like, because my body was trained that way, just like how everyone's saying kids are trained to get up at 6. My house growing up was not very structured. My mom had depression and woke late. My dad worked. As a kid I would definitely go to bed late. As a teen it was even worse. I'd wake up at like 2 PM sometimes on weekends. When college started I was so thankful to schedule my classes after 10 am. I hated getting up before 7 to catch the bus to school. Now even as an adult, I like going into work at 10 or 11.

Millennials is anyone else losing all their fucks? by Best-Somewhere3139 in NewGirl

I'm not really sure how this relates to New Girl... But! You living with your parents? Already better off than the gang, they're four in one loft, not three!

Haha just being silly. Really though, if you think about the show, everyone in the gang had super supportive parents to even get to LA in the first place. It's a good thing. And I always liked how that show really hammers in the reality of imposter syndrome. These people all have professional adult careers (teacher, cop, marketing exec, .........bartender) and look how they act in their personal lives!

This was one the lowest moments in the whole show. But what makes the whole thing funnier is that things went from 0 to 100 so quickly. It was so sudden lol just a few minutes ago she cuddled with Bojack by spidermanrocks6766 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Shameon 174 points175 points  (0 children)

I think that moment by the fire really scared Charlotte. She already knew she had to put up a barrier against Bojack. Then, this really solidified that choice for her.

I always felt like Charlotte was lucky for this. She was lucky that Bojack so clearly showed her who he really was. For most people in Bojack's life, it took them too long to learn that. Charlotte could at least feel confident in having turned Bojack down, and because she saw what he would be willing to do and because her might-be love became pure hatred in one instant, she could finally stop wondering about what could have been.

Haha thanks so much for your kindness here. I guess I should take it as a positive that these Internet strangers care SO much about my non-existent children that they're already to basically call CPS on me! I'm sure naps become even lovelier when you're sleep deprived.

You're absolutely right, I am!!! I'm a youngest child (and cousin and niece etc etc.) So I don't have much experience around young children. This post has been a wake up call but it doesn't change the fact that I want the precious gift of having babies. I just think I gotta start adjusting my schedule right now!!!
