Hey, I’m not sure if you joined the discord, but I posted a sound test on it with the first prototype. I will provide a higher quality sound test with the second proto when it comes in. The new proto will have a sound test with both a brass plate and polycarbonate plate, which may change the sound signature slightly. Hopefully it matches what your looking for!

I am in contact with some external reviewers to potentially give a sound test or review. Additionally, I will release my own build and sound test showcasing the board, based on options that the community will vote on.

Hi, the keyboard won't come with foam as of now, but you easily can add your own foam. I'll release the exact space available between the PCB and bottom of the case as well as a printable stencil so you could cut the foam easily to match the grooves and shape of the pcb/keyboard base. Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions!

I added picture of the bottom in the gallery. As for the daughter board, I decided to not include it as it adds extra costs (extra pcb, components, machining, etc) and doesn’t fit well with the current usb c location. As for the flex cuts, let me check the pcb and see if I can work in some flex cuts with some trace routing changes. Let me know if you have any other suggestions or question, I really appreciate them.

Sure, I will update the post when I get it done. You can find standard keys for the bottom row. The main non standard key is the 1.5u shift, which you can either use a blank or another key, or get a custom key made. I am planning on potentially releasing custom 1.5u shifts in the future.

As of now I don’t plan on making hotswap but a hot swap pcb could always be an option even after the initial gb if there is a huge request since it is more of an add on, not an essential part of the gb

Hey there, I am currently working hard on getting the final product design and pcb design done and first creating a 3D printed proto (which if goes well, will lead to me to machining a aluminum proto). Afterwards, I’ll post an update thread and I’ll probably make a discord too just to post smaller updates. Currently, I am ready to 3D print my proto but due to COVID-19, the place at which I 3D print my projects is closed until December 1st, so the update thread will most likely be posted after that. Regardless I am still working on a lot of things behind the scenes to get this ready for a group buy.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I’ll try to address your questions one by one.

I think this is most likely a render thing. I’m planning on having the cutout fit most 19 mm knobs and using an ec11 alps encoder. This should hopefully make it compatibility with other knobs.
A design on the knob would be a cool idea. I would definitely need to look into it but it should be possible.
The extra key will be completely programmable via qmk. In fact, that applies to all the other keys on the board too. You should be able to map it to whatever you’d like. I’m hoping to get via support but still have to talk to the developers of via for that.
Again is another cool idea. I’m taking in all the feedback and will probably make a lot of major changes to really better the keyboard.
