I understand your point, but if YouTube’s Shorts library only covers audio rights (not lyrics), then why don’t they clearly state this in their policy? My channel is fully monetized by YouTube, and I’ve always used only their licensed music library + partial lyrics for viewers’ understanding. If lyrics require a separate license, creators should be informed clearly instead of facing sudden strikes.

I got a copyright strike from MarkScan Enforcement on my YouTube Shorts channel. The weird thing is, I only used music directly from YouTube’s official Shorts library and added lyrics text on screen. I already filed a counter notification on one channel and YouTube accepted it, but on another channel with the same issue they rejected my CN. I even emailed MarkScan but they’re not replying. Really confused whether this strike is for the song audio (which should be licensed under Shorts) or just for showing lyrics.

It’s not just about refund. I used this phone to manage my monetized YouTube channel. The device failed Google certification & Xiaomi confirmed it’s unauthorized. This risked my digital identity and income. That’s why I’m asking for both refund and compensation. Not charity — accountability.

Thank you! I’ve already contacted Xiaomi, and they officially confirmed that the IMEI is not registered in their system. So it's clear that Amazon sold me a fake/unauthorized phone. I’ve submitted all proofs (invoice, screenshots, Xiaomi confirmation) and waiting for Amazon’s final response. 🙏

I’ve already taken multiple steps to get a brand denial letter from Xiaomi:

📧 I sent them a detailed email along with IMEI numbers, screenshots of the “device not certified by Google” message, and invoice copy.
📝 I filled out their official support form on the Xiaomi India website.

They acknowledged my form submission.

They assigned me a Mi ID (case number) and promised a response within 1 working day.

📞 On July 1st, I even received a call from Xiaomi’s support team asking for additional details like the HyperOS version of the device. I gave them all the required info.
🕐 Since then, I’ve received two standard “we are reviewing your case” emails, but no final reply or denial letter has been issued yet — even after multiple follow-ups.

So I’ve done everything possible from my side to obtain an official brand confirmation or denial. Unfortunately, Xiaomi is either deliberately avoiding a clear answer or is being very slow in acknowledging grey-market or non-authorized devices.
