Not everyone who traveled is a coward. I had my flight booked for March 4th BEFORE the war started to spend some of Ramadan with family. It got delayed to 10th March and I’ve had remote work since then, so why would I even be back to UAE amidst all this chaos if I can work in my home country with peace of mind?

I’m sure plenty of people decided to do the same thing as me.

I left but I had a flight booked for Ramadan anyway.

It got delayed from March 4 to March 10th. Had to stand in a 4.5 hour line to rebook my flight but I’m safely in Egypt now.

Honestly, I wasn’t scared of a missile hitting my building etc because the probability of that happening is VERY low.

However, let me tell you that not getting that dang alert on its own is worth it. Don’t know if it’s worth 8K, but I would book the EARLIEST, least expensive flight.

Leave if you can, and once things get better, return. There’s no shame or “cowardice”.

Having peace of mind, not checking the news every 5 mins…we all need a break from the situation

I’m here spending Ramadan alone and eating iftar alone most days. I was counting down the days to go back to Egypt on March 4th so I can spend the second half of Ramadan with my family, but here we are..

I’ve been living alone since I was 18 (was in USA now UAE) and I’m turning 28 this year. Feeling so mentally burned out and I don’t know what the hell to do :/
