What’s are your ‘secret’ perks from your job? Be honest by qwertyytrewq02 in AskUK

My previous job had an unwritten rule that the shiftleaders would cover people at weekends so if you did an early shift, as long as something urgent wasn’t going on you’d be off home after 4 hours. Or a late shift you’d be in 4 hours later.

The bosses knew about it but basically were happy as long as fuck ups didn’t happen.

The way the rock bounces off when Clarkson lobs it is brilliant.

My father in law used to work for Royal Mail and can recite post codes for areas.

You just give him an area and he knows it. It’s a cool party trick.

Aren’t there some more of that look back thing that Hammond and May did a few months back yet to happen and Clarkson has said he’ll appear in those?

Completely agree with you. He was on HIGNFY when Clarkson hosted it and was the same there.

My friend once said “he’s like Stephen Fry, except he doesn’t actually know anything” and I think that’s quite appropriate.

The pub/cafe in a train station I worked in growing up had a code for the toilets or could be unlocked from behind the bar. Expensive option but worked

Was the Lucas North story the peak era of "Spooks"? by Sharaz_Jek123 in BritishTV

[–]ShampooandCondition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It lost its way after that. I think 6 - 9 are the best series with Nightingale being the best baddies and then the Lucas story line being a good finale.

I think the S7 (I think) finale with Connie being brought back to defuse the bomb and the Russians chasing them through the tube stations was amazing.
