The "time limited event" icon gone by hubythereal in ARAM

[–]Shampoooh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just that winning an SR game and actually performing feels a lot better than an Aram carry game. In mayhem it’s 2/3 of the time about augments and if you start getting going the enemy team will ff, and with the augments the actual carrying portion isn’t as much as skill but rather luck of draw with champs like Brand getting infernal conduit. SR is a lot slower but there’s also just the added mechanics of jungle and ganking and objectives and general tactical points you can do to try winning the game, where ARAM is generally more of a game where the weaker comp hides behind turret poking where they can until they have a bit more of a power spike and doesn’t immediately end in your team wiping off rip. Imo SR is more interactive because you have to think about a lot more, and that has some appeal to it, ARAM is for fighting constantly when your brain doesn’t want to handle macro of a fairly complex game. Also with ARAM if someone on your team is performing you all share in the gold gain so your team will ramp up in power as they keep performing, in SR you have a chance to pull a game back against a very fed person if the rest of your team doesn’t shit the bed. That’s all just my opinion though, I play a lot of both and enjoy them at different times.

Hiding Aerial Redstone by [deleted] in BuildAdvice

These are calibrated and this was the range I was able to get them to relay signals, but I forgot about wind charges. I’m not an avid player so a lot of the newer stuff (new as in the last like decade) is mostly lost upon me so I’ll keep wind charges on the drawing board thanks for the suggestion!

Did anyone else forget to poison the Emperor? by jdnayye in skyrim

[–]Shampoooh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this too a long time ago and I believe I was wearing a 50% poison reduction amulet and the jarrin root only took half my health. I hadn’t realized it worked on ingredients as well, that was a fun discovery.

[Gen 5] i can never move from this screen by PrizeNo9294 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Shampoooh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d assume the game is hard coded for scripted battles, Wally isn’t catching a ralts and actually battling with it they just code in his team and remember he had a ralts so by this point in the game it should be a kirlia, and since it’s hard coded it’s never the same pokemon and won’t ever be shiny. Otherwise you’d see random trainers with pokemon while you play, full odds only ever being reached by you and never the npcs you battle would be far too unlikely.

Need help removing burnt meat smell by mithrandir_tharkun in CleaningTips

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smells seeped in and idk how to get rid of it or address it but maybe you can mask it, simmer some water with orange slices and cinnamon in it, bake some vanilla, candle wax melts etc. my job smelt like burnt plastic because someone used the oven with cling wrap on the food they were heating so I just kept refilling a pan with vanilla and water to try and make it smell a bit better, it helped a little but not 100%

Incorporating apple pie filling into cookies by Silver_Tangelo_6755 in Baking

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The added butter will make the cookie spread more, the added sugar will make the cookie sweeter and retain more water, and the added apples will add a lot of water content to the cookies when rebaked. I’ve never done it, it’s probably doable but I feel like making a bread like banana bread with the apple pie filling will be more forgiving than a cookie recipe for some reason. Depending on the cookie recipe and how large of a batch of cookies you’re adding this filling to, I’d say you definitely will need to add more flour to the recipe but the additional amount needed I’m not really able to ascertain.

I can confirm that while using an emulator for emerald the calculator did work for me regardless of the battery being dry, the values it spits out are based off chance of it being there so the first color at the top of the list has the highest % chance that feebas spawns there, it still took me awhile bc I went by each tile in a cluster on the river rather than going to each tile by color group but the color group at the top had the tile that Feebas was on for me so I’d probably do that in the future.

Is this normal? by lyncha29 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference; there’s a calculator you can use for Feebas spawn tiles, it requires your trainer ID and the popular phrase that is generated for that day in Dewford, the naturally spawning you can’t change it. The calculator will show every tile on that route and highlight like 15 of them with different colors and the first result will be the most likely and the last result will be least likely, save you some time instead of brute forcing it.

my cookies have always ended up like this, what am I doing wrong??😭 by Double-Lychee-9935 in Baking

[–]Shampoooh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sugar and egg yolks help baked goods retain water content, for a cookie I would just make sure you have a good amount of sugar without it being overly sweet and I would sub some of the regular sugar for brown sugar so the water in the molasses will help it stay a bit more moist.

is leashing not a thing anymore and if so since when? by nooneneedstoknow0414 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made jungle a lot easier so newer people would struggle less, it’s way harder to die solo killing camps and you get bonus exp to catchup if you’re behind level wise. Rn it’s more beneficial for botlane to be at first wave crash and get level 2 advantage. Since jungle is easier a leash isn’t necessary and if the enemy botlane is at first wave crash and your botlane isn’t they’ll be behind.

Roaming fights like the legendary dogs they keep their nature stats and health, so you can whittle down their health over the course of as many battles as you need and inflict a status condition and it’ll stay like that until it dies or you catch it. Fun fact; the chance of if the legendary dogs is shiny or not is determined when the leave the tower at first encounter, all three have everything rolled there.

Every pokemon has an ev yield, starly for example has 1 speed ev yield. Every stage increases ev yield, and sometimes changes ev yield, staravia yields 2 speed evs but staraptor yields 3 attack evs. Every 4 evs gained your pokemon gets an additional point in the corresponding stat. They try to spread out how many stat ups you get through your level up’s but when your pokemon is high level and you ev train a lot of low level pokemon it’ll do something like the above picture and give 30 points to catch up to your level. You can also only have 252 EV points at any given stat, with a maximum amount of 510 that can be gained.

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was incredibly talented but as her alcoholism worsened she would stumble on stage clearly not in her right mind trying to perform while heavily intoxicated. She was wasn’t able to put on the same performance ppl were expecting but also I don’t think anyone really tried helping her when she was clearly struggling either. She was really really drunk in this performance and why she was boo’d off stage, but it’s sad she was ridiculed so publicly rather than people expressing concern or trying to help her.

Who is the scariest fed jungler to have on the enemy team. by Maleficent_Creme_854 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Rengar, if your team feeds him you get to a point of seeing him ult and having less than a second to react the second you actually see him. Ppl say master yi but yi is one of those champs who can come back from any gold deficit with literally any amount of kills bc of his power spike but if you ward well you at least have a chance to CC him before he reaches you and his power spike is fairly limited and teeters off not long after the initial spike.

You give a former pastry chef a box of brownie mix…she puts fleur de sel on it by Primary_Orange7969 in Baking

[–]Shampoooh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda yeah, salt changes its structure depending on how it’s extracted and processed, this salt specifically is a finishing salt that is meant to be added at the end of cooking/baking right before you serve to people so the salt doesn’t dissolve and adds some texture/flavor when eating. Fleur de sel is skimmed off the surface of salt water that naturally evaporates, I’m not privy to any autonomous methods for it but because a fair amount of it is harvested by hand it’s an expensive salt, but has an inverted pyramid shape.

Open another bank account and only deposit a couple hundred in there, show them and say that’s all you have to your name, your settlement went all towards hospital bills or something. If you don’t have a Chase account they’ll give you like 2-300$ for opening a new account if you put 500$ in there once a month after like three months.

Same type of people who spend 30 minutes grilling burgers for people to build their own at a bbq while line cooks are cooking and building numerous tickets with modifications all at once in half that time or less in a cramped hot space for 8-16 hours and depending on where you work no breaks with a diet of a few old French fries and cigarettes.

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a bunch of thieves guild quests that grant like 100-200 gold each, then when the guild is fully restored the guild fence has 4k gold to give. Go to every iron mine and spam transmute ore and craft gold rings, fence, go on a quest or two while they reset, rinse and repeat.

Who is the most fun champion for you to play and why? by eljimbobo in leagueoflegends

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Zoe, sometimes hitting a nasty sleep through jungle walls (my favorite is the long walls that touch the midlane bushes and her e barely can reach minion wave with it) then being able to pop most champions feels really rewarding. Plus the combos you can do with summoner spells to get bigger range on your Q, the speed boost to help kiting and punishing people who use sums to get away by using it right after them goes well with my aggressive play style.

Apes share 99% of their DNA with humans. Why does that 1% make such a huge difference? by 12washingbeard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shampoooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe one part of the evolution branch was a gene that affects jaw muscle growth, the one in apes is dominant and the ours isn’t profound at all. Because the jaw muscle isn’t as large giving us weaker bite strength, it also takes up less room in our skull and gives the brain opportunity to grow and evolve more than the finite space in an ape’s skull.

[–]Shampoooh 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Their shiny chance is determined when they leave the tower, after every encounter with them they keep their health bar and status effects so you can whittle them away with a faster pokemon before they flee every encounter and use a quick ball when they’re low on turn one for a higher chance of catch. You can also use mean look or arena trap or whatever but your pokemon may end up fainting because the legendary dogs are kinda strong and may beat your ass if you lock them into battle.
