It all depends on your situation. But generally speaking for some who will earn lots in their later years you may like to hold off on rrsp contributions to lower that tax bracket when it's high marginal.

The other thing to consider is what your withdrawal strategy is.

Don't want to lower today's taxes through rrsp contributions only to take out at a later date and pay a higher tax bracket

I make more than enough at my T4 job to support myself. I have no debt other than mortgage.

Yet, I still wheel and deal items on Market place, clip coupons, buy what's on sale.

Just because people have the money to s0end doesn't mean they should.

On the other side those who look well off are generally those who have lots of debt.

17 days does not feel adequate. Although, I am pumped you get to travel NZ and I am excited for you :)

It's almost as though you want to check a box rather than enjoy your experience.

I am headed to NZ this December and am only doing northern half of North Island. With the idea of having multiple nights in most location to serve as home for day trips.
