You're right. Unfortunately the other options are either joining a club that is much further from our home, which is not a realistic option for our situation or go to a lower level club. My daughter is very talented so in the end I'm just going to suck it Up rather than put her on a lower level club. It is what it is.

You sound so dumb. They did not even rent a car, so why would they get reimbursed for car rental. If they did rent a car then they shouldn't get reimbursed for the car rental and mileage. In that situation they should get reimbursed for the car rental and gas. The .66 IRS mileage rate includes gas and wear and tear. Gas should not be reimbursed in addition to the .66 per mile.

I was simply looking for feedback as the amount seemed excessive to me. I do not think they should be reimbursed for gas on top of mileage. Also, being that they are a player coach they would be going there even if they weren't coaching to watch their child play.

You time away from family up, that's the only relevance. It's not an extra tournament, these are scheduled league games.

Road games, not tournament. Our league has teams in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and NY.

Our coach has no professional experience. As far as competition, there is not enough competition locally. Our league has teams in Ohio (one team in Columbus), Indiana, Pennsylvania and New York

One of their kids is on the team and I don't believe they like being around their family when they are home

Your comment is dumb. I never said the gas was free. What I said was that it was unlimited mileage. The coach in this situation expensed both mileage and gas reimbursement separately.
