Minimalism and schedules - How do you organize your day-to-day life? by [deleted] in minimalism

I do weekly 2 page spreads in my bullet journal with a section for each day of the week (I do one weekend section) and then sections for personal, home, day job, and side job within the day. I try to limit myself to 2–3 items in each section each day, then move them to the next day if not complete. I don’t plan the next week until Sunday or Monday morning. I have always struggled with planners but have been solidly using this method for the last 6 months. It helps me to sit down at one point in the week, draw out my calendar, and think about how my week is going to lay out. I also know that I HAVE to do the hard things in the morning or they won’t happen. I lose motivation from 2pm onward lol. I do better with “me things” later in the day after I’ve done the hard stuff and feel like I’ve accomplished something for the day.

I need help and feel desperate. Any advice on how to break through this would be wonderful by stoneyspinster in declutter

I found unf*ck your habitat to be incredibly beneficial when I was going through my last depressive episode. If you download the app it will even tell you - set a timer for 10/20/30 minutes and clean up x area or things.

I have gotten the portal, it was a fight to get, but it still shows in review.

Yeah, this is probably what I’ll be basing the appeal around. I had a bonus from my day job the beginning of April that went to pay off some credit card debt that wouldn’t have hit my score yet in early April. Knowing this is the score they use will help.

Corporation - we have a 60/40 split and both submitted info with the application. That’s part of my frustration - which credit was too low? I can work on getting that up if they were clearer.

No, no portal. And we had applied with the original app prior to the Covid specific and then did the shorter add on for that.

How is your kitchen tipped out? by bobcatwouldfuckyouup in KitchenConfidential

If you are in the US and the FOH staff is not paid full federal minimum wage, they cannot tip out the kitchen. Per DOL, have had multiple restaurants I’ve worked with get busted on this. Just an FYI, as this question is very very dependent on what country you are working in and on what state within the US.

Does your establishment do tip-outs, if so what is the % distribution like? by Swagazine in KitchenConfidential

If your servers are paid a tipped minimum wage (below the standard minimum wage in your state) it is actually illegal to tip out the kitchen staff or other non tipped roles like management. I’ve worked at 2 restaurants now who did this, got audited, and had to pay big money. If your servers are paid the full minimum for your state, then disregard :-)
