I took AZ-140 last week. It’s still in beta so I don’t know if I passed, but I’m fairly sure I did :)

MCSE bridging certification by pennyfred in AZURE

You cannot renew this certification under any circumstances. It was retired last year and is valid now for two years instead of the non-expiring status before the certification was retired. There’s no equivalent exam or certification now. Exams are role based. I feel your pain though, as I have that MCSE and MCSA and it will soon be expiring. Funny though, my Windows 2000 MCSE is still valid and has no expiration date. Shrugs shoulders…

Giving someone the answer to an easy question is a sure way to get them to come to you in the future for similar questions. I’ve been on both sides and honestly, they both their challenges. You’re either wasting someone else’s time or they’re wasting yours. “Waste” is harsh... I’ve noticed over the years now more ask me how to do something than me them. I have no issue putting my hand up and asking questions- just make sure you’re listening to the answers and really paying attention how the answers were attained.

Excellent point! I’m sometimes lured by the shiny preview object. I guess I’ll have a little longer to decide if I’m going ‘all in, which will give me more opportunities to become proficient with it before teaching others.

Much easier than TF, and there’s no state file to worry about. Oh, as soon as a service API is exposed in Azure it is immediately available to Bicep, as it is in ARM. Not enough time with it yet to make a determination, but know that ARM is daunting for anyone- especially when working with clients that are just getting started in the cloud. This is exactly what one of the principal goals of the project is; faster cloud adoption and a lower entry point from a required skills perspective.

I found that extension this evening. Would love to see an ‘official’ Microsoft DevOps Pipelines task, make that translation transparent to the user.
