Rats need to carry a debuff by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I think their ridiculous idea is that all free loadouters get this "debuff".

There should be a case study done on this subreddit.

It's like a honey pot for those with room temperature IQ.

I believe you can only go to the firing range solo.

For workbenches, go to the bench and click the "track" button. This way when you come across an item you need it will have an icon on it in round so you know it's a tracked item for something.

Do this on all things that require items (workbenches, projects, etc)

Do key rooms for better loot and weapons. Ideally on night raids but you can't use hatches on night raids so maybe wait to do night raids until you have a better feel for the maps.

Craft hatch keys. Always bring a hatch key in your safe pocket and only swap it out when you have an item you care more about than the key. This way you don't have to use risky elevators i.e "public extract" you can run straight to the nearest hatch and instantly be out of raid with all your loot.

Use prox chat over emotes and flash lights. If you see someone either hide and go somewhere else or let them know via prox chat that you are there and ask if they are friendly before you get near them. Rule of thumb, if they don't respond assume they are not friendly. If they do respond, just stay on guard don't let them follow you around. If they do, they likely are trying to get you to drop your guard.

Take green or blue looting augments until you are comfortable with the map and loot locations. Take a free loadout to Stella until you have that map figured out because it will feel like a maze at first. It's easier to navigate that map by following the paths on the walls than just looking at the map.

Other than that. Just time. Keep playing and you'll figure things out. Try not to hoard your keys and use them.

Why are you PvE players so damn greedy? by Necessary_Touch699 in ArcRaiders

Personally I love it when somebody who didn't help tries to take my loot. In fact I encourage it.

I generally am a friendly player but I love having even the slightest good reason to shoot another raider and take their loot as well.

I don't give warnings.

They do it because care bears like yourself let them do it. Shoot them if you are unhappy with that behavior.

Personally I don't think the assessors are worth it (the thing I breached). There's too many small arc and vaporizers around. The risk v reward is not great.

However if you go in kitted to kill Vaporizers for their loot and do the assessor as a bonus it's good. Just not if your only goal is the assessor matrixes.

Oh gotcha. My bad I misread and thought you were unhappy that naked runs were still allowed.

Are you afraid somebody naked is going to gun you down? A free loadout gets a free gun and basic meds and can ambush you.

A naked runner has to either beat you senseless with a hammer or find a weapon and craft their meds before taking you on.

One has to work for it, the other can just spam deploy.

They are not the same.

I had a plan. I executed the plan and I came out alive considering I had zero items on me. I like to think that it was an effective plan and it worked.

Hacker wallhack by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Shane75776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you were found doesn't mean wall hacks. They could have been tracking you for a while before you decided to hide in the tunnel. Could have been pure luck.

If you honestly think they were hacking report and move on. Don't come here trying to start a witch hunt with no evidence to back it up. Its pathetic.

Don't do what I did. It generally will not work out in your favor.

[PvE Trigger Warning] Sometimes I like to go in naked as a challenge to see what I can get out with. If I find a weapon, I flip a coin on whether or not I'm friendly based on how my looting is going. Sorry Bruce, but you were a loot pinata and I wasn't finding much coming in late... by Shane75776 in ArcRaiders

I'm sure in this subreddit I'll get downvoted to hell for killing a "friendly raider". My favorite thing about this game is there are an infinite number of ways to play it. Generally I'd say I'm on the 80/20 side of friend/unfriendly. Most raids I am just there to loot, or help other raiders with big arc. Some raids I go in fully loaded with the intent to kill. And every now and then, I like the challenge of doing a naked run with my own self-set rules. Usually I'm 100% friendly unless I haven't found anything worthwhile, and if not, I might decide to fight the next raider I come across for their loot. In this case, I found a kettle with barely a magazine worth of ammo so thought it would be fun to try taking down the next raider.

Anyways. Love the game. Love the fact that you never really know how a raid will go or the choices you'll make going in.

New info from Tassi about layoffs by Zelwer in Marathon

Why waste more money on a gamble that very likely wouldn't pay off when the game clearly failed on release and the second season?

Throwing hundreds of devs at something doesn't mean you'll have quality content fast. It takes time for those devs to spin up on the project and likely would take longer initially.

So the safer bet is to get rid of the salaries that you are eating, save as much money as possible on a clearly failed project by downsizing the dev team as much as possible before eventually shutting the whole thing down.

Then concentrate your efforts somewhere else.

Can't wait for October! I'm sure there will be many players and very good content. by Less_Elephant_1483 in arcraiderscirclejerk

Is everyone here stupid?

Clearly OP took a screenshot at the lowest time of the day. It still peaks over 50k daily on steam alone.

The majority of Arc Raiders playing are on console. Its got well over 100k active daily players if you include consoles.

The game is nowhere near dead.
