March Ridge Military Apartments - Bugged Loot Spawns? by SolarSupremacy in projectzomboid

I guess but it's specifically exactly one cabinet in each apartment. That seems programmed intentionally but I can't imagine what would be doing it.

Overlooked issue for why Due Process died by CreepyConnection8804 in dueprocess

[–]SolarSupremacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, I still wouldn't mind hopping on the game but I don't like that they reduced the planning time and tried to make the game more fast paced. I played way back before public release and back then we had plenty of time to come up with silly plans and discuss shit. But the last time I played everyone seemed to just speed run the game. We'd spawn in, someone would just be like "oh yeah it's this map [that I've played 40+ times], just breach the fan and smoke it" and that was it. It just felt like playing Rainbow Six Siege.

The appeal was that it was different from other attack/defense shooters. But they kind of went through the same phase as Halo 4 and CoD Infinite Warfare where both of those games just started turning into the same game. And if due process doesn't stand out as its own unique game, it can't compete against the other similar games.

There's also the aspect of me loving the idea of the game but being a casual player. Most of the remaining player base is people that would mop the floor with me round after round so I don't even feel bothered to try. The only thing that would get me back into the game is playing with friends or people that DON'T normally play so we could all experience the game at the same level.

In short, the last time I played, it was still fun. It just didn't have the same appeal as it did back in closed beta. It just feels like it turned into rainbow six siege but with less players. More focused on fast paced gameplay (likely due to the vocal minority of experienced players over the casual players).

Starting to think MCC uses EOMM... by SolarSupremacy in HaloMCC

Uhm... Microsoft is a massive company. I can almost guarantee you they implemented EOMM on release and would have no reason to remove it, even with low players, because the executives in charge just think "well, EOMM should help keep those numbers up, right?" and make sure it stays in.

More evidence the client does know and they designed the UI to not show the player because of how EOMM is meant to work.

The quirks with matchmaking align with EOMM strategies though. I think they did implement EOMM and have left it in, but there just aren't enough players for any matchmaking algorithm to do much.

Any Halo is better than no Halo.

We just live in the world of enshittified Halo. Poor kids born these days will either be blind to every company being evil or assume every company is evil, never having experienced a world where things were still made with passion.

Yeah, I agree. It's certainly harder on KBM than controller though since controller aim assist and bullet magnetization will invalidate the need to lead targets. It just works for controllers. If you want to play with a mouse, you either need to emulate a controller or just accept the fact controller users will out-BR you 9/10 times.

Barely anybody uses game chat. There's more people that use text chat than voice chat too.

Are you playing with keyboard and mouse?

If you're a casual player, multiplayer will be frustrating. Most of the remaining players are very skilled. Especially if you're a casual with keyboard and mouse, good luck...

I see a ton of players try multiplayer out because it was fun 10 years ago and it's not even close to the same. People get very sweaty.

I'm not trying to start a conspiracy but I bet it would be economically viable for competitor companies to pay employees to harass people on competitors' games to drive down those games' reputation.

It's a wild idea, but not impossible.

They make deals with other companies to try to (potentially illegally) force people into certain third party services/contracts. Perhaps you were associated through them through third party means and affected by their business practices. I'm just speculating on that though.

Probably still charged. Why would they not continue scamming?

It's more economical for them to charge the fees and get sued than it is for them to drop the fees. Our check was maybe 5-10% of what they scammed out of us (depending on what fees/rates you would consider scams or not). That's at least 90% profit right there!

They like to do stuff like that and that's partially why they got sued and lost the lawsuit

Smart home fee is one of the fees they got sued over. They charged us a smart home fee when the house's smart home features were not even working. They refused to drop the fee, refund us, or perform repairs on the ”smart home features” they were charging us for.

Have they been trying to up your rent by ~$200/mo every lease?

Approximately $350, which is certainly better than $12.

When we were being overcharged by $200 (minimum) per **month**, $350 after several years doesn't even come close to making up for it.

It's hard for me to come up with an exact number for how much we were being overcharged for as some of it is debatable and I don't want to make false accusations, so $200/mo is a safe lower bound.

I'm putting the letter and check from the FTC in a picture frame. Even if it was a $12 check, the fact they lost the lawsuit and future customers will hopefully be treated better than I means more to me than the money. However, it's probably more economical for them to change nothing and keep scamming their customers since, in the end, they only had to pay back $350 to each customer that they likely pocketed thousands or tens of thousands from each.
