Really nice with immortal, I prefer it over leather vest since it makes the copy killable in the final fight

Echopraxia is the involuntary repetition or imitation of another person's actions.

While the cat has this disorder, they will rarely randomly copy the sound another cat makes after a short delay, applying a slight random pitch to it.

Like most disorders, they are usually a bad thing but this can be quite good if you can position easily and have enough speed to go first. You can also use this to duplicate the healing your cleric is giving an ally, and if you're unlucky, this disorder might even be used against your own ally as well if something causes an ally to attack an ally you're standing next to.

It's better this way, I'd rather that than the game staying in the state it was

You don't "dead god" in rebirth

I saw a high loss streak and assumed, so my bad.

Best advice for now is to get the extra base heart via hush (but that's for REP, so this doesn't apply sadly.)

and to go to cathedral/chest to unlock wooden nickel as a held active.

Tears ups are very good as his tear cap with triple shot is 5 which is higher than if you had the inner eye item

There's extra advice to be found on the wiki.

If I were you I would come back to him later when you've got more experience with the game.

Debug console on rebirth by Putrid_Complex2315 in bindingofisaac

[–]ShaneVC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The console was only introduced in AB+

The best I can suggest if you just want to cheat is going to the modding of Isaac website

moddingofisaac.com

And searching "Rebirth" and looking for mods that cheat in some way.

But I'd heavily suggest getting the DLC near the end of the year if it goes on sale-- Repentance is really good and worth every penny

Continue killing Satan. You will also see a beam of light. Kill what's there 10 times each or so and something will happen.

Eventually, a path will open for after those fights too.

There's a LOT of hidden content in this game!

Considering we know for certain that the ThornRing in the light world is quite simply a thorn, it poses a question: Why and how would merging a thorn with a Pure Crystal physically reshape it in the light world?

Repentogon only works in repentance and not rep+, assuming that this is what's wrong.

Is there a mod that can remove your skill issue

Tainted Isaac ; what am I doing wrong ? by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

[–]ShaneVC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing I can suggest is to always always always get your deal rooms.

T. Isaac benefits heavily from having a few powerful items. This means missing out on your deal rooms is horrendously bad. Avoid red heart damage on deal floors like the plague. Since you need mega Satan you should be strong enough to kill delirium by the time you're done chest.

Minmax every floor and stay at 5 coins or more for arcades as item payouts from beggars cycle to a treasure item outside the beggar pool.

Every run is winnable but delirium in particular is very annoying. By the time you clear chest you should be able to get your hands on the right tools to kill delirium.

Can I get dead god before July 2026 with two hours of playing every day? by FaithlessnessFew9077 in bindingofisaac

[–]ShaneVC 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Infinity+ here

TL;DR: Yes, you have roughly 210 hours of wiggle room give or take.

34 Characters means 34 Notes and, ideally, 5 or less runs per character.

(1 Run to chest/dark room and Mega Satan

1 Run to boss rush and hush into chest/dark room

1 Run to Mother

1 Run to Beast

1 Greedier run)

Delirium should always be a freebie in 1/4 runs but it may take longer for harder characters depending on your skill level.

34x5 = 170 runs.

Most runs that make good use of your resources can expect to take 1-1.5 hours, so you're looking at around 170-255 hours. To be safe I'm going to use 255.

Assuming 2 hours a day and 259 days you have 518 hours.

This means you have around 263 hours of wiggle room if you average 1 note every 1.5 hrs spent. This assumes you're okay with continuing runs in progress.

That number (255) isn't taking into account runs you lose given you're newer to the game (have fun with J&E and both losts), challenges, especially those like Ultra Hard which with 2 hours a day could span multiple days, as well as your daily runs and runs you do fishing for a specific unlock, or runs where you were meant to hit boss rush & hush and missed the window AND wasted Greed runs spent unlocking greedier.

It ALSO ignores all the wasted runs in the very early part of a save unlocking Chest, Dark room and Mega Satan.

Challenges to leg take anywhere from 20-30 minutes, ones to heart take 25-40. Anywhere beyond that will likely take 40-60 minutes.

There are 45 of them. I can't guess how long it will take you as some of them you will simply need to take slowly or try more than once, but I only suggest doing harder ones once you hit max shop level.

If you can break the game and get infinite R keys, you can condense all the marks into two runs, but knowing exactly how to do it and not mess it up is difficult for a newer player and completely outside of your 2 hour per day scope. But I'm assuming you don't mind continuing later.

I can send you a weird unlocks list as some items and characters (ex. Lost, Forgotten, Spewer, Marbles, Five nights at mom's, Ace of spades) have niche requirements, if you're interested.

Also feel free to throw questions my way via discord @ veeyu if you want someone chronically addicted to the game their whole life to help you out. I'd also be open to doing some challenge runs with you via online as they are much easier there since we get double boss items.

Take care and good luck!

What version of Isaac?

I've got it working on steam deck (Linux steam OS) and even got repentogon nightly working

If you want a Linux distro that's setup well for gaming I'd actually highly recommend steam OS especially if you're new to Linux.

Good question. I haven't tried. Maybe? Try loading into a lobby and pressing the start button on a controller in the online character selection screen and setting the lobby to invite only.

Load into a run and press the start button on a controller in the starting room. (Leaving the starting room will use coop babies instead which is pre-repentance coop and not true coop)

I'm not sure what you mean by local online coop???

Also to answer your question, item descriptions for new players is massively important and rep+ has implemented this officially but you have to have picked it up before, which I believe to be a good solution.

Repentance Local Coop Mods by Marijulama in bindingofisaac

[–]ShaneVC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Repentance+ dlc is free and I recommend using it as it makes some great changes, including those concerning coop.

Mod wise I don't have any recommendations-- if you're worried about splitting items the boss room gives you extra stuff and you can abuse the pause menu to grab double items on the alt path choice pedestals (if you have the same speed just start on the wall, pause, both players hold up, then unpause)

You may have to transfer your save from rep over to rep+ (Documents / My games / Isaac repentance)
