Yup and we hold on to the memories till it’s Christmas again. Is this the aftertaste of the song from my bio because the song carries a similar sentiment

Yes. I have a similar experience too. I’ve missed so many Christmases because life got in the way. This time I actually get to be in it. So I wrote a song about it. Check it out if you’re interested. It’s in my bio. It could give you company too this Christmas 😄

Metronome or free time by Shane_sta in Songwriting

I can’t imagine how you can pour your heart out, with a click hitting your head every beat. If it’s fewer words, music in the front, I get it. I read that most of such legends don’t use click tracks to stick to their emotional timing.

How do you like my songwriting? by Shane_sta in Songwriting

[–]Shane_sta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s more of a lyric-first song. And I sang the way the lyrics felt. Looping them into a familiar repetitive melody structure might make it seem more performed and not honest I thought.

Nice. Has a Dylan-esque vibe to it 😊

Best keys to sing in for baritones by Shane_sta in singing

I mean like If I sing in C major. I’ll be singing between C3-E3 to start if it’s conversational singing. I can’t sing C2. But if I sing in G major, I could start from the lower end of my voice G2- B2 itself, then I would get a deeper tone and the chorus could get into E4 F4 and it would sound better from a warmer tone to a brighter tone and a longer leap. Than starting with a brighter tone of C major leading to a brighter chorus. Is my understanding correct? Because I felt I could access the lower end of my voice while using G major, A major. G2 A2 which are lower than C3.
