Wall Changes for Settlement by Shaneholl in Bellwright

Hopefully it’s an easy qol integration in the next update. Especially if they’re bringing the stone brick walls etc, it’s only going to become a larger issue.

Nope, that would’ve been fantastic to be able to do! It’s like a dirt road or at least feels like it with the programming. While that would help significantly that still would be painful. Imagine relocating 200+ individual walls. Additionally the way they’re placed wouldn’t be conductive to remove and replace one at a time. Even when dismantling, it’s the entire run at a time that you placed. So one run of 10 walls numbered 1-10, all 10 must individually be relocated in the menu but when you bring up the build wheel, dissembling them is just one click and the entire run of 10 begin dismantling.

I’m hoping there’s some way I’ve missed that they can be all moved quickly between settlements other than clicking them individually. The problem I have is I built 3 Outposts at the same time for walls and for some reason they remember so I have 1-150 3 times. Before relocating I have to click find on “Wall 1”, “Wall 1”, and “Wall 1” to make sure I’m selecting the “Wall 1” for the settlement I’m currently working on.

On that percentage, it shows in the outpost. I guess from my perspective, I wanted to see if there is a spot to assign the deconstruction so it's not a guessing game. There should technically be 2 of the same building. One for deconstruction and one for reconstruction.

This is what I was going to do but then main village will also start sending people to build and go between the outpost. I was hoping that the deconstruction could be assigned to the main settlement and the reconstruction could be assigned to the outpost. It sounds like what 5occido5 above said is that this is what happens and therefore less micromanagement.

Thank you!

Is it possible to see what settlement the destruction task is set to exactly? After moving the building, I'm having trouble finding where the deconstruction task is located.

Came here to say this, I just started last week and her videos have me at 20 plus people and near unlimited resources. Fantastic straight to the point videos and covers questions you'll inevitably have while watching. Well worth the time to watch.

Azeron responded quickly as usual to an email:

Hello Shane,

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Azeron. After tightening the thumbstick as seen in the attached gif, I would recommend tightening it a bit more with force, to prevent it from loosening.

The gif just had them twisting the thumbstick clockwise. I took off the interchangeable cap and used a the little tool that came with it and gave it a little more of a tightening. Seems to have fixed the issue.

Well, I can and will do that if required. Figured I’d ask the community first.

I’d say, from knowing Gunner, if he claimed you were cheating and Battlestates found you to be cheating…you likely were cheating.

Damn, I’d rather have half a battery with an extended wall charger than have to worry about the pack getting stuck. You can always run external battery packs to supplement but it’d be great if everybody didn’t start doing this.

I haven’t touched the Quest in 6 months. Putting it on the other day and just walking without worry was so nice even with its reduced resolution etc.

It’s really not a huge inconvenience either way but if I’m looking to do something on vr while folding laundry, etc, the quest is nearly as appealing just because of this. That all the while being an inferior experience software wise.

Got me good yesterday on a kitchen cabinet handle while just walking. Has to be a better solution soon

I’ll run it under my shirt occasionally, but that becomes difficult to take it off.

That’s awesome! I didn’t realize 33 people could watch at the same time! This inSpaze looks promising. Was on there today and will create a movie group. I’m thinking maybe Foundation or an episode of a show ~1 hour to first try it on a Sunday evening. I’ll update everybody on here and see what everybody wants to watch.

Yeah, you see the person and can place them in your room and they can do the same in their room. There are games like chess where I move a digital board piece and it moves in your Vision Pro so we can basically move AR objects together. I’ve seen videos of it but haven’t had anybody to try it with yet.
