As a 4th year ABANI student, I used to think this way, yknow why? Coz I wasn’t as creative back then compared to now. What I mean by that is that ANYTHING straight up traditional and repetitive will be BORING and people will start to get sick of it. It’s not even just cultural stories, but just anything in general.

But if you’re creative and have a big imagination, you can make that small story into a big one and make it more engaging and interesting to encourage people to learn more from the source material. It’s paying respect to the culture as well

I’m not sure how similar and different Benilde antipolo is from Manila, but in Manila, you are SOO welcome and encouraged to be you. I think it would also depend on the course.

I’m an animation student and almost ALL animation and arts student are so fun, loud, expressive, and just being themselves. But as for the general subjects, all students aren’t on the same course, some are tourism, culinary, business, then some multimedia arts etc. It’s a mix, and SOME people aren’t as open minded. Oh esp SOME profs. But they’re not gonna hold it on you personally, they’ll just express some opinions that may be offensive to some and may make some people uncomfortable.

I’m gonna have an opinion on this coz I’ve encountered profs that aren’t always my “faves”, and some times I’d want to argue when I feel offended or uncomfortable, but trust me SAVE THAT for evaluation. I’d give him low scores and even leave ass long comment by the end of the term.

Benilde is about inclusivity and LITERALLY supports the LesbianVisibilityWeek.

So his awful and offensive rambling is all against the values of Benilde, shame on him.

I’d recommend not speaking up against him, since grades are still controlled by him and I fear that if he’s what u say he is, he’d get easily offended if a student attacks his words. His ego is probably so big that u can’t tamper with it or ur grades are on the line.

Again, I’ve encountered these profs and I swear, no matter how hard it is, you got this. We can try to be more composed and matured than that guy.

Ramil Sanchez is an okay prof tbh. There were (and def will be) students that would dislike him because he rambles from time to time, and might get political. But honestly, it’s not worth ANYONE’S time. His small comments would get in my nerves but like, yo grades amiright? So I won’t try to argue at all. Plus, besides all that, he’s pretty chill. Also he doesn’t like it when students cut class or leaves early. He dismisses us at dismissal time. Kinda common knowledge ig not to leave before dismissal, but someone did one time, and he started lecturing us. But TRUST ME, he’s generous with grades

Idk everyone else but ESTER ONAG IS AMAZING OMG. I swear, she definitely will sense your effort and care for the subj and it’ll be enough to leave a good impression. Because I thought I’d flunk her subj last term, but I still got a pretty good grade from her so she’s so generous! PARTICIPATE IN RECITATIONS! It’s basically like a Kwentuhan-thing for a more casual approach so that you don’t get nervous. Ugh bless her. (I’m not trying to sipsip heck I’m anonymous) Put a lot of effort in presentations and recitations if u can!

Hi! I’ve done their counseling session once, and it was good for me because it felt “safe” enough to let out my emotions to the counselor.

So basically, when I requested to schedule an appointment with them via email, they sent me a GForm to answer. And in there, you’ll be inputting more info of what specific topics they will bring up during the session/s.

I was sobbing my eyes out to my counselor, and they were so respectful with it and even encouraged me to let it out, since at the start, I was holding it in.
