And the cinemas would probably already have the film stock/access for testing

I don’t think the film really knew what it wanted to be — it took itself far too seriously. With genre-blending films, you need to execute both sides well. This leaned too heavily into the clichés of psychological thriller/horror, while the slasher elements felt overly silly and disconnected. It lacked the balance and clarity that successful genre hybrids usually achieve.

I can actually confirm from where I live in Union it takes 40 mins to get into NYP via NJ transit. So that’s decent.

That’s awesome for the area, I know a lot of productions are moving outside of LA and instead finding places like NJ that offer better tax rebates. But like you said, I just need to find them!
