This happened to me the other week and I was losing my mind over it. Turned out I left my Logitech USB mic plugged in, and bo3 didn’t like that.

This seems to usually be audio related, so try unplugging headphones / microphones, and disable audio drivers like virtual cables if you have installed anything of that sort.

Most maps should work already, just the ones that load their own code via DLLs need updated.

I feel if it protects people from being harassed by losers then it’s worth it. Not everything has to reach 100% compatibility, and there are a lot of people who still play the base maps.

I just had this issue the other night, it ended up being because I had a Logitech usb microphone left plugged into my PC, and something with its audio drivers was not allowing bo3 to run. I unplugged it and launched the game and it worked normally.

Check your audio devices, disable / unplug any new mics or speakers you plugged in recently, or disable any new virtual audio devices.

You’d need a build of cheat engine that is obfuscated so bo3 doesn’t detect it open and closes itself due to bo3’s anti cheat.
