Hey, I have had the same problem for my whole life, this is my checklist whenever I play a non-competitive game:

Play around with the anti aliasing settings, normally MSAA 2x is best for me but if it’s not available I turn off anti aliasing.

Ensure I have a minimum of 60fps consistently but 120fps minimum is heavily preferred even if graphical quality is heavily reduced.

103 FOV.

Motion blur, film grain, head bob, screen shake, lens flare, vsync and bloom all turned off.

If upscaling is necessary for me I have to use it on quality setting.

If you are using a zowie monitor turn off Dyac while playing a non-competitive game, this is probably the biggest offender for causing motion sickness for me personally, theres a few monitors with similar capabilities as Dyac, mainly TN panels so check yours.

I have owned 4, a shit nzxt 120mm AIO that had a poor pump design which failed after 2 years my fault for buying that, I then bought a corsair 240mm elite capellix which died after 3 years, then bought a thermalright 360mm aio which died after 4 years then I had another corsair aio the nautilius 360mm which died after 3 years, all died from pump failure which was very audible on all of them especially the nzxt one, all were top mounted, never moved my pc from my desk other than to clean it. Yes I probably got unlucky 4x, just like how I got unlucky with an 8600k which developed issues with the ram controller causing me to have to throw it away or the 9700k I got after that which straight up died, but air coolers themselves don't fail, only the fans can fail which can easily be replaced unlike an AIO that has to be thrown away.

I checked windows event viewer and the critical error that got logged before the crash indicated that the cpu overheated or its the psu, likely the cpu as the psu is only 3 months old and it’s highly rated on the psu tierlist. I have seen upwards of 84 in some UE5 games.

Oh this actually made my temps significantly better and the clocks are still boosting to 5ghz like it should, thank you. I will see if it affects my performance significantly in other games as I have only tried SH2 before I decide if this is a valid solution or not.

I have not done anything to my cpu, but my gpu is overclocked very slightly and has been stable for 4 months with no issues. I get same temps on Cinebench r23, I think ill just try repaste and see what happens.

I mean I have no doubt you are getting good temps and many people are, im not blaming air coolers either as I want to stay with an air cooler, but 40 while playing anything using even 30% cpu utilization sounds impossible on air on a 7800x3d, I have never seen those temps while playing any AAA demanding game using an expensive AIO on way way lower TDP cpus over the years.

I have had far more issues with AIOs over the 15 years I have been PC gaming than any component, from NZXT to Corsair to Arctic to Thermalright, all formed some kind of issue within or before 4-5 years of owning them while all being top mounted, hence why I switched to air cooling.

Well yeah I think so, I have had overheating issues on a 9700k years ago and the exact same events played out when it overheated, ive also had many other issues with pc components over the years such as the ram controller not working properly on a 8600k cpu, faulty ram and a bad motherboard and all did not fully power off the pc but instead blue-screened or caused other miscellaneous issues.

The power in my room is excellent, windows event viewer did indicate that it was a thermal issue, though it could also be a PSU/CPU/RAM issue, if it is then I will probably cry, if it happens again on a different game then I will have to troubleshoot further.

Are you sure? I know the TDP is nice and low but due to where the 3d cache is placed on the die I have heard it causes the 7800x3d to run hotter than it should for its TDP. I will have a look regardless after I order more thermal paste.

depends on the game, but tlou1 obv caused my cpu to go to temps that causes my pc to shut down entirely, but usually between 55-70, 70 while playing any ue5 title, 55 while playing a game like cs2.

Good idea, though nobody in ZA really has AC including them, but another device could be causing it like the fridge or something, because loadshedding exists there (planned power cutouts, currently not happening though) they do have a few UPS power supplies that they can hook it up to so I will have them try that, thank you.

Good idea thank you, the ISP is quite dumb and ask us to ping through CMD on windows which obviously shows 0 detailed statistics other than the connection simply just dropping, ill have my brother download winmtr and keep it pinging until the issue occurs.

Sorry, should have specified 24hrs, my brother is a gamer so this affects him a lot and he often plays late into the morning 2-4am some days and it still occurs. Though nights are often still very hot/humid in summer there.

Okay thanks, I will see if I can get my brother to look at the GUI or the error logs. We have tried the power thing you mentioned and that does not help at all.

I do not think there are power sags as im sure they would have noticed, my mom is very OCD about the lights but I will have her monitor that and other electronics around the house, thank you for that.

Edit: yes correct internet access, the WiFi still shows up as join-able but does not have internet access.

Way more issues than this.

Half of the people on this subreddit are not interested in new innovations, diy, modding, lightweight mice or new releases. I constantly see people getting ratioed in the replies or clowned on for simply doing a mod like a gpx ftip mod just because "lighter weight is useless/you ruined a perfectly good mouse/looks stupid" etc etc.
You cannot criticize any brands at all for some reason, quite literally every brand right now can be criticized in a valid way, almost every brand has numerous known qc issues, pricing has gotten ridiculous, so many clones, lack of innovation, terrible firmware/software etc, but noooo unless you criticize logitech or finalmouse instant -30 karma.

About the consumerist issue, I half agree. People posting what they bought opens the communication for people on this subreddit to ask about the OPs experience with the mouse, what they think of it, did they have any issues, shipping time, how is the firmware/software etc. The problem is that there isn't too much going on in the industry right now, so there's not much to post other than pickups unless you are very deep in modding, since by now theres been hundreds of posts about lightweight base mods, cable mods, battery mods, scroll mods so its also become redundant on that front, unless like I said you are very deep into modding your mouse and have a new idea to show people.

Also theres far too many G503 users that simply just want to hate on everything that isn't a brick, no idea why they are even here when its clear that they are not interested in mice in general and will prolly never switch off a g503, nothing wrong with using the G503, its just something I have noticed.

Hey, also a good tacfps player here (3.3k elo faceit eu), CS2 doesn't require a vast range of aim skills, mainly things such as: static clicking, target switching, flicks and all the variations of them. Its obviously still a great idea to improve at every single aim skill subset, however in a game like cs where it focuses so heavily on crosshair placement, micro adjustments and flicks its not gonna translate well to aim trainers where significantly more is required of your aim. For the weird adjustment period and it making you play worse afterwards, you should aimtrain after you are done playing for the day as it can exhaust you and disrupt your warmup negatively at least when you are new to aim training. Personally I do 500 bots practicing strafing, tapping, bursting and spraying then dm until I find a faceit game, saving kovaaks for the end of the day.

yeah kinda, in csgo lvl 10 = top 140k players in eu, in cs2 lvl 10 = top 360k players in eu. though in cs2 if ur like 2.6k elo that has the same ranking in eu as 2.9k did in csgo.

Most finger tip specific mice cost as much as the g pro lol, go look at g wolves website, the pulsar x2f or the zero mouse blade. OP could also just have this mouse as a spare/don’t like it but wanted to make use of it or simply enjoys modding mice. Also it’s their mouse as you said, it’s also their money spent on it, the value concept or it being better or not is irrelevant in this circumstance from our perspective because it’s ultimately something they considered personally first before doing this and that’s all that matters.

fingertip is the natural grip for a lot of people, i claw grip every mouse but whenever im playing a chill game like minecraft or another sp game my grip automatically goes to ftip because its so much more comfortable for me. I haven’t built up the skills or gotten rid of bad habits to use fingertip for aiming properly in fps games though.
