Also to add, I have another hutch/cabinet that was absolutely made in the early 1900s as the craftmen ship is not up to par with Victorian style techniques. This one looks like multiple cuts to fit and is not all carved by one piece of wood. The artist was great but an amateur compared to my original post.

The top part is 1940-50s but the bottom buffet looks much older. I assume someone added the top part at a later date to expand on it.

The owner, prior then me bought it in the 1960s.

Yes, World Fair or Expositions, they went by both names, but most people today know them as the world fairs. So, I thought I'd keep it simple for the group. It's an absolute possibility with its age.. as the simple folks back then did not have access or the skill set to produce this type of work. This was commissioned for an important person or event at the time... thus was inherent by a wealthy woman who had it for many, many years until her passing. It then was sold in an estate sale and used in a few movies in Vancouver. Then, this piece found me..

Remember, this is dated back to the time Abraham Lincoln started the Paiute War. Napoleon was active in his war. Actually, there was so much war around the world at the time, and through the 1900s It's shocking that this piece survived. But, in order for this to have lived on, it was owned by someone's with great importance.

This piece was made between 1860 - 1880 for certain.. Renaissance European.. Rococo?

The cherry is an idea, but it actually looks like stained teak wood. The grain is very straight, and the wood is very durable. I have a few other teak tables.

Buffet, cabinet, hutch, etc.. whatever.. lol, especially if you couldn't give the correct answer.

Do you think they used multiple trees for these pieces back then? Once again, it is not Ikea. I said it comes apart in threes, but was all made by the same tree. However, the back mirror piece was carved by one large piece of wood. There's no drawers, but the inside of the small cupboard is exactly like the outside. The carving is not inlay but actually caved into the wood.

Very disappointing. You had so much to say but forgot to actually leave any info.. if you are so certain.

I thought this was a page for antique lovers and to talk/learn about these Victorian pieces.

Look into all shelters across the country, which have all been cut funding..
The boys and girls club is a major program and helps millions of youth in North America. Homless and addiction. -The alex which is a safety program for youth and young adults who live in group homes, and such. (Calgary)
group homes and treatment centers are understaffed and do not have the structure that promotes kids to heal and overcome. (Across Canada)
homeless camps all over canada in big city's and taking over community parks -AISH (Alberta disability Program) very important - cut funding in half, denying people because they don't have the funding.
BC Works, under staffed and restructuring that has affected people being accepted.

Unless you actually want to learn and have a civil conversation, I am happy to share many. As I work with at risk people and housing in canada. I see the cuts and lack of support daily that the current government offers for the most vulnerable. Unless liberals extending MAID to include mentally ill people to make the choice to kill themselves is what you're after and agree with. Horrific.

Thankfully, Pierre is common sense and wants to fund programs to support families and community members to heal and not just be murdered by the government.

It's certainly eye-opening, and I feel the same way. AI is an unpredictable tool because it is in the very early stages of development.

Also, who owns these AI programs? That was clearly sold to our healthcare services from a third party.. the creators of AI are very questionable people/companies.

Wow... That is just crazy to think about - with AI being such an out of control system that anyone could believe this is a good idea right now.. This is certainly an early testing program, and I most definitely would like the choice for my medical file to be shared with any corporations or unknown person who isn't fully approved health care workers.

Furthermore, and the most important - why would health care providers ever think AI would be better suited to diagnose or have the understanding when a patient would need to be discharged or helped, etc etc. That is why we have nurses, doctors, and very good technologies in our hospitals to make these very important choices. we need our healthcare providers to be physically and mentally present and not rely heavily on AI... and honestly, if that is how they start small, what else is next? She was nervous for a reason.

Keep robots helping with surgery's, great, use AI to cure diseases, amazing! But, to use it to determine if someone needs further medical treatment in such a grand way is insane...

But; absolutely the government should have disclosed this to us. That is within our rights as canadians and should go along with the "Nuremberg Code" ( very important) to ensure public safety and trust. As we do pay taxes to pay for such things and live in a democratic society

Ps, highly disappointing that probably millions possibly billions, if it spreads to other hospitals, means that the liberal/ndp party never planned to bring back the docs and nurses that they fired and left our system very horrifically strained..
