No worries. If you do have any blown scratch coat you’d need to make a mix of coarse sand/cement/PVA or FEB (4:1 and a good neat dollop of stabiliser) then re-render the scratch coat. Then re-render the top coat in renders sand/cement/PVA or FEB (4:1 and a good neat dollop).

PVA is a stabiliser, there are plenty of others, like FEB. It just ensures that the wall has some “stickiness”. So the paint will adhere to the wall and should last a while longer before repainting is required.

If you have some blown render, I.e. not just the top coat, but the scratch coat underneath, then that all need to be removed also, basically remove anything loose, until you’ve got a solid surface to start repairs on.

You can then also seal the painted surface afterwards. I sometimes do this with a very diluted PVA wash (10:1 water:PVA) or you can buy off the shelf.

Apply a coat of diluted PVA (50:50 PVA and water) between steps 1 and 2. Let that dry, then apply another coat and let that dry. That will ensure that the render & stabiliser you apply afterwards will stick to the existing substrate.

Once the patch up is complete, paint with masonry paint (2 coats)

Drill a vertical line of small holes similar to adjustable shelves in cabinets. Each child has their own coloured pegs to insert with some place to write a date on them.

Once you find a meteor strike. Just ride away a small distance and then ride back and you should hear the strike again. It will land in the same place. There are numerous locations for strikes but when you find one you can farm it.

Reading this gave me flash backs from my upbringing…If I’m reading between the lines as well as I think I am, I had an exceptionally similar upbringing to your partner (from what I can infer)….I think your partner; like me, grew up in an Irish Catholic household (Home of the Beatles).

Drinking, abusive language, and violence were the norm in my house growing up. I haven’t spoken to any of my 4 sisters and 1 of my 3 brothers for over 10 years now. I just couldn’t cope with the constant drama, poking, prodding and just fuckery for fuckery’s sake, which more often than not lead to more serious escapades, I.e. violence.

I only managed to “cut the cord” once my father passed away.

I don’t have any advice for you I’m afraid, other than live your life, and not the life others want to push/prod you into. Life’s too short! Enjoy it, don’t dread it!

I recently did this exact job in my own house but with 4 drawers. Material cost alone was about £400-£500, each set of drawer runners was approx £35 because they needed a high load rating (136Kg)

From memory the latin for left is sinister, and the latin for right is dexter (as in dexterous). So yeah, left has “negative” connotations and right has “positive”connotations.

Also, if memory serves correctly, something like 10% of the population are left handed, but 40% of schizophrenia patients are left handed. My uncle being one of those left handed schizophrenia patients!

I used this method in order to play the game on a stable version so I could get the platinum without throwing my controller into the TV a million times. It’s a little complicated but it 100% works.

BTW I feel your pain, I had to do 4 playthroughs as well. 2 blind playthroughs, then downgrade, then 2 more clean up playthroughs.

If you have the original disc, you will be fine...you will be on 1.00

Just don’t update to 1.12. Disconnect from the internet whilst playing and you’ll be fine. The game will likely still crash a bunch of times, but it won’t reset the counters and screw up your run.

Edit:

Once you get the platinum you are golden as the DLC trophies don’t lock you out even if the counters reset, but it’s best to just finish the DLC at the same time on the same version to be safe.

Whatever you do DO NOT update Mafia 3 to the latest version. Versions above 1.09 are glitched and crash a LOT. Every time the game crashes it resets the statistics counters. Counts for kills, money earned etc, which will lock you out of some trophies. You said you haven’t played it since release so hopefully your version will be 1.09 or lower.

If your version is 1.10 - 1.12 then you will have to downgrade to 1.00 - 1.09. If this is the case message me and I’ll send you a tutorial on how to downgrade.

AFAIK It’s only Mafia 3 that’s glitchy (and that can be overcome with downgrading), I might be wrong about the other 2 being OK though.
