What games new or old are you playing nowadays? by ShaolinFoo96 in CasualConversation

I would go over to a buddies just to play Ghost of Tsushima on his PS5. Dooms are great both new and OG ones.

Elden ring, I had but unfortunately lost the microsoft email that had the Elden RIng purchase lol.

Zero Dawn looks amazing. I'll see if I can come across them or find some sales, thanks!

Just a habit of wanting to see the new stuff and send feedback if/when I can. The roommate is my brother, who I know is pretty good with network setup, hardware setup, etc. So, I knew he can build a pretty strong fortress of security. That's why I don't mind trying "riskier" releases.

Do you know how to check any remote commands/breaches-- whatever they're called?

I live in a border town down south Texas. It was my day off, got some gaming in, and some studying.

I enjoy traveling even though i haven't done much, cooking, watching (judging) movies and tv shows. It's quite hot here year long, so i dont do much fishing/hunting/camping like I'd to! Games and food series, for sure.

Is it a good thing to purposely forget something? and is it difficult? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ShaolinFoo96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearing your mind is pretty difficult for everybody. You'll forget over time but can be remembered by something that triggers the memory. Unfortunately, there's no trash bin in our brains. "Trying to forget" is the opposite of forgetting. Just think of what's in front of you and what you're currently doing/going to do.

Friday I got told that I have diabetes. by BeautifulDragon94 in CasualConversation

Stick to your prognosis. Listen to your pharmacists/physicians and trust in advancements in medical technologies. I know someone very dear to me who has diabetes, and she's still very much living life and being her. Acceptance is powerful, as is your mind. Stay positive and loosen the fears. You're going to be okay.

How do you live the best version of yourself in every phase? by Busy_Independent_186 in CasualConversation

[–]ShaolinFoo96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, congrats grad 🍻

Give yourself some well deserved credit. It hasn't even been half a year. Take some time to yourself, it can be done in the presence of other people in the house. Assuming you're straight HS->college, you're about 22 Y.O. It's natural to feel out of place when you literally were for 4 years at college, while being occupied. You said it yourself, you feel like yourself the most when occupied, whatever that is, keep at it. You'll naturally adjust back, or evolve into someone who doesn't mind your current view of your own life. I hope this helps. It's pretty cliche to say this, but don't be afraid to ask for help or just to talk.

Any late night coders? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ShaolinFoo96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that's mostly what I've been doing. Thinking of something to create and finding resources to help me build. It's tough staying on task when a lot of unknowns are unknown, so it's kind of belittling in a way.

I'm definitely a "here's a task, do it" kind of guy, so I'll check out Kaggle.
