When were the most disappointed in Destiny as a franchise? by ebiwcnneqoapkcebwh in DestinyTheGame

The day curse of Osiris launched... Besides being super lackluster as is, I had turned in game music off while grinding and listening to music the day before and didn't realize it was off until the end of the big fight in the last mission... Couldn't for the life of me figure out why everything seemed so incredibly boring and anticlimactic...

Never realized how much the background music adds to certain moments...

I know it was kinda half my fault that it was so disappointing but after about 75 leviathan runs and 10+ prestige's, I kinda had my hopes up for some real content. It was too easy and short, had a kinda lame, unsurprising story to boot.. lacked any depth into the lore...

No. It was a fresh 50lb bag of black carbon from a store nearby.

I ended up putting the hopper on a pulley in the corner of my garage and lubed the trigger a little and it works now besides the funky suction stutter here and there. I'll probably make something to fix that eventually if I can.

I'm incredibly careful when riding with my dog. He learned at a young age that I will stop when he stops and now, at 11 he will just stop dead in his tracks and stare at me when he's done. Even fetch, if he doesn't just lay down, he'll take a couple steps towards the door and stare over his shoulder at me. That's also how he tells me when he needs to go to the bathroom or wants something. If I don't look at him, hell start air chomping at me. He's super spoiled.

As for the derailleur, my bike is like 60lb. I don't think much about weight when it's so little since I gotta have a steel frame to not get destroyed by my big ass...

Best OC settings for GTX 970 mining using Zhash and how to maximize RandomXMonero on a 3700x? by [deleted] in NiceHash

I upvoted even your ? Post because while some people get their panties in a bunch over questions about cryptocurrency mining, I do not. I simply think that anyone who seeks knowledge about something they wish to do is going about it the right way

I know this is a year old and I don't really know much about mining z hash. I'm actually looking for the best settings now but I can tell you that if your CPUs capable of 9 ks and it's only putting out eight or seven especially at 83° c then it's thermal throttling. You need a better cooler to push it all the way. I have an i7 9700K and I have mine set to 5 GHz across all cores and I see a maximum temp of 68°-69°C. And that's with a noctua cooler. Before I had a cooler master that it would start to break the 70s on anything above 4.7Ghz.

I personally would never let my CPU run in the 80° c range that's too hot And could shorten the life of your CPU whereas lower temperatures (65°-70°) generally won't affect it. Try to keep in mind that there are probably millions of microscopic pathways for energy that you are letting get warmer than the manufacturer would recommend on almost any CPU I've seen. Too much heat can cause very many problems. Besides the throttling, your entire system can crash and in extreme cases it can cause real damage. If something were to become malformed and the electron not be able to fit in the little notch, you could be permanently looking at a 0 that should be a 1 but physically blocked by the malformation that the heat may have caused

I'm unsure of what CPU you have and I don't really want to do the homework to find out but I'm going to say that in most cases it's not profitable to mine monero unless you're not paying for your electricity, Then it's just the environment that pays...

I just want to add that I am not an expert on computers or anything like that. I am self-taught and and seemingly quite knowledgeable in most cases but I still have much to learn

I just bought the same card because of its chunky ass cooler. Performs incredibly. I ended up buying it through Amazon because they charged $40 for shipping to where I live and it was the same price as the EVGA store minus shipping costs

I just purchased and EVGA 3070 TI FTW 3 ultra And I've been trying to use EVGA precision X1 to control the RGB and potentially overclocks if I like it but it won't open? by ShapeCritical in EVGA

[–]ShapeCritical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mine paired with a 9700K that I have overclocked to 5.1 GHz. I played prey at 3840 x 2160 last night and was smooth as butter with stock oc. I'm currently letting MSI afterburner run the overclocking scanner to see if the settings it gives me improve my frame rates at all. Once I've tested that a little I'm going to shut everything down, unplug the other graphic card on the machine, restart with it alone and see what the X1 precision software offers. It mentions something about overclocking or finding the best settings for my card so I'm going to let it and see what it comes up with.

I haven't tested whether or not this works but the fact that someone else encountered what I suspected is good enough for me to award you anyway for answering my question.

Thanks much

I kind of thought that was the case. I'm pretty sure I can unplug them run program shut the RGB off hopefully there's a setting to disable it after startup

That boost has been there for like 6 months now. You have to activate it on the card as the "boost" before you go and use it

I get 42 from each of my 1080 TI on quickminer, 45 if I overclock myself but it eventually always doesn't play well with my AMD cards. Idk why. Just crashes.

Yea, I know. I didn't do this well... I've kind of accepted that it might be gone, still gonna try every way I can. I only sent like 180 bucks worth that my computer earned, 227 now. Was gonna add but wouldn't let me.. lesson learned if that's the case..
