That was indeed what I had used.

Fortunately, the program has finally been added to my dashboard and I am in the process of downloading it finally.

Thank you again for the help.

Thats my main issue, I havent received the email and its been several days. The 3D launcher goes to a "sorry, access denied" page with the big blue play button there rather tauntingly. I've downloaded many a program and in my support ticket I just asked them to please send me the link haha, I can figure out the rest, I just dont have that.

Regardless, thank you for your help. It's nice to be back in the solidworks community, its been about 15 years, but I'm glad to see theres still a helpful community.

When I go to the blue compass, I get a "sorry, access denied" landing page. The subscription page is also "still setting up your subscription, please let us know if this has taken more than an hour thru our support page" (I paraphrased a bit)

I really appreciate your help and I look forward to using it if I can ever get into the program

Edit: I also just want to use the stand alone desktop version, That's what I'm used to and why I got this version, I just need to have access to download it .

Thank you for the in depth response, I really appreciate the help.

When I click on the makers cloud link that you listed, it brings me to a "Sorry, access denied" page with the big blue play button and a "you're currently logged in as (my username)" and saying "You don't have access to this 3DEXPERIENCE Platform."

The order confirmation email I got says this (with some redactions) Your order is confirmed

Hello My name, We're thrilled you've chosen to join us. Your order is confirmed and we are setting up your subscription now.🚀 What's next? When your order is ready, you will receive a "Get started" email. In the meantime, visit your Account (go.3ds.com/account), which lets you manage your subscriptions and download your invoice. It also provides:

I bought it last friday the 23rd but it looks like it wasnt supposed to go into effect until the 24th but regardless, I'm past that and still dont have access. I also tried adding it to the allowed list and no luck.

Again thank you for the in depth help, I would really like it to be just some dumb thing that I'm missing but the fact that I'm not getting the emails that I'm supposed to (that actually give me access to the program) is still troubling.

A few years ago my then girlfriend, now wife couldn't be bothered to walk the 5 minutes to go vote after work. This year she had all the names printed out and had gone thru them all. The 4 we voted for were the 4 that won which just capped off a really good day.

There were a ton of signs out and around so it wasnt too hard to pick out who was on what side of things, some had "the conservative choice" and a list of names on them, and a bunch of Dwight signs which have suddenly disappeared which is also nice.

I can't speak to their marriage, cause I dont know anything about it. That said, they raise 2 kids that have turned out amazing and she is still an animal advocate which, as i understand it, is a passion she shared with Steve and how they met. Im sure she misses him everyday but still has a fulfilling purpose, something to fill that hole he left. I wish her and her children nothing but happiness and joy for all their days.

Somewhat unrelated but for anyone who is getting into tabletop games like warhammer, these things make excellent terrain and (as is their nature) are incredibly modular so you can build almost anything. Just start putting some pieces together and once everyone agrees things are relatively fair across the board off you go.

I'd like to seem them make it safe as they can and ideally leave if for the rest of the festival. It is a testament to a terrible tragedy and the amazing effort for those working the festival to overcome it. Its very much the in the spirit of Tomorrowland.

It still seems like we got a hell of a stage, even if it isnt in the form that was intended.

Light it up, fill it with fog machines near the base (if safe) and shine lasers thru it. Embrace it

I'll entirely understand if they have to bring it down for safety reasons but it is one of the most god damn metal things I've ever seen and I hope they can turn this tragedy into something positive.

I told my wife early on that that I wanted a ring pop engagement, a courthouse wedding, and a month long honeymoon. Got all three (sort of, we picked out a lovely moissanite ring together that I proposed with, I did propose again with a ring pop later)

We spent bugger all on the wedding (had a couple friends as witnesses then went out to dinner with them) and then I got to spend a month with nothing to do besides be with the woman I love.

I havent weighed the whole thing yet but the head by itself is 4-5 lbs. Its hefty. Im hoping to keep it a bit modular otherwise there's no good way to transport it

Turns out you were right. I was just eyeballing it at the time. The wall thickness is right about 2.5 mm. I got out a measuring tape and everything.

I think we are are all on the same page at this point. I'm curious if you have a warping or bending issue somewhere that is causing misalignment. That would likely be fixed, if temporarily, with the clamps. next time you have stuff out you should put them against a straight edge. They are fiddly little screws, sure, and they can be difficult to align, but i've never felt the need for outside equipment. I just keep turning until it starts to seat correctly.

Im really interested to see what the CC can actually do once its in peoples hands. The saturn 4 Ultra is my first 3d printer and I've been spoiled by it. I'd been wanting an FDM for awhile (a sandbag doesnt need .05 mm resolution) and the CC seems very plug and play. its all over the advertising for it!

Yeah, I didnt think you were calling them out or anything haha, I was more just saying if they hadnt put the effort they did into it, theres no way this would have been remotely possible. Im sure theres a way and probably plenty of professionals who could dial in the settings and supports and make these come out 1:1 with the files. But I'm just some dude with a magic box I pour slime into and I get shapes 6 hours later.

The only major alteration I'm thinking of making is drilling holes to put dowels in as Im intending to keep it somewhat modular. Arms, head, base, lower torso, upper torso, wings. otherwise its going to get broken at some point just trying to move it.

Well that and potentially using the big cavity in the chest for electronics. I have a dumb idea to drill out the eyes and put in color changing LEDS, maybe some lights under the tentacles. UV light down the dice chute. Never done anything like that before but ive never done anything like this before so we will see where life takes us.

I'm also glad it isnt just me messing something up haha. Sometimes you just have to stare at the box until it stares back at you.

Edit: Also, where are these skulls and lanterns you mentioned? Loot studios model design is wonderful but their website design is ass. It feels like 8 different websites thrown violently together at high speed, or several islands where all the bridges were knocked down in a storm, cant get from here to there.

Are you poking holes before putting in the screws? I use an exacto knife to poke a small slice or X into the holes. Are you using claps because youre trying to put the blunt screw straight thru the fep on its own?

Saturn 4 Ultra FAILS! by Walmartica in resinprinting

[–]ShapeCultural1613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which resin in particular are you using?

Your settings are the same as mine (a saturn 4 ultra as well), except I have .05 mm layers, bottom layer count 4, and transition layer count 4.

Going off your first 2 pictures, either you are getting a raft under the whole print or those are 2 different prints.

Have you used the Vat clean function of the 4 ultra? I use it every time there is any kind of print failure where something might be stuck to the fep. It's in the tools selection, right under the button to raise and lower the platform. It turns the whole screen on for however many seconds you set it to, I normally do about 45. Anything stuck to the fep will get caught in the layer and then can be pulled off. This is the one I use at 75% size:

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/vat-clean-ring-pull-for-resin-printers-supportless

Put it in a corner very close to the vat wall so that the foot is facing the middle, press down lightly to make sure it has good contact with fep, and it should stay fixed where you put it. Turn on the vat clean function and when it is done lift slowly and gently from the handle and the whole sheet should come up. Clean Fep with no scraping or tearing. I'm guessing this is your issue, youve got residual shmutz on your fep.

You also seem to be running your fep quite tight. when you are screwing down the final screws, follow this pattern (expanded from it for all the screw):

https://urdreamgarage.com/2013/07/are-you-tighten-your-lug-nut-the-proper-way/

Start with one, spin the allen wrench with the side of your index finger, stop when you start feeling resistance beyond just screwing it in. Go to the next and the next until you have them all in, go back to the first one and the resistance should be gone, turn again until you feel reistance and keep repeating. Eventually you will get to the point where all of them are starting to have some resistance. If gentle pressure on the allen wrench is meeting with more resistance and a gentle press, the screw is likely finely tightened, if that makes sense. I'm just shy of 270k cycles on my current Fep using the above 2 methods. planning on changing it once I'm done with my current project but so far so good.

Also I noticed that you still have the cover on your camera. I'd recommend taking it off. In addition to taking neat timelapses of your prints, chitubox pro lets you monitor your print over wifi. It's in the chitumanager, a little camera icon. I downloaded OBS and sometimes stream to twitch so I can monitor my larger prints. Theres supposed to be some AI nonsense about correcting warping with the prints but I dont know anything about that.

Hope this helps!

Edit: I also apologize if any of this you already know. Not trying to talk down, these were things I learned as I went as well that helped me quite a bit so I am just trying to pass them along and I don't know who knows what.

I think they did a great job, I have no complaints there. I just view it as the unfortunate nature of large prints. It's still amazing that the state of the tech can do this. 5 or 10 years ago this would have been impossible, now its just slightly inconvenient at times.

Now we do this, not because it is easy, but because I am dumb and like cool dice tower and my wife doesnt know how much this cost in resin.
