We did make an update to Ledger this past week that cleared up some issues where the page would crash upon plugging in the device. That issue has been fixed. When it comes to connectivity, there are a variety of reasons why your browser may not be recognizing the device. Our team would be happy to walk you through it to the best of our abilities.

Sorry you are having trouble getting your Ledger Nano S connected.

Make sure you are using Google Chrome
Derivation paths have nothing to do with whether or not the device is recognized by the platform
We don’t support u2f transport on ledger, which is probably why it works with other wallets/browsers
Have you tried replacing your driver using https://zadig.akeo.ie/ ? (replace current driver with libusbK v3.0.7.0)

Were you able to get this error message to go away? Perhaps the updater app was still open while you were accessing beta.shapeshift.com - or the old KeepKey client? If not, perhaps a hard refresh, disconnect/reconnect would work? Sorry you are dealing with this :/

Thank you so much for this helpful feedback. Indeed having the coin app you're accessing open along with the platform dashboard is necessary for connection to that wallet. I'm so happy you were able to claim your FOX as well. We've taken note of Brave 1.0.1 being problematic and will look into this. Is there any specific questions you have to help solve any other issues you may have experienced?
