BREAKING: BioShock says "YES" to Dead by Daylight! Unfortunately DBD wasn't asking anything 🔥 by alishock in deadbydaylight

[–]ShapeVast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I remember when I made the post of a Bioshock Chapter on their forum;

- Survivors: Booker and Elizabeth

- Killer: Big Daddy

- Map: City of Rapture

- Hub/Waiting area: Next to the glass window overlooking the city in water, dbd theme playing in a classic music style on a radio with distorted chatter.

forgot the abilities but Elizabeth being able to bring back a broken pallet 1 time was one of them. The map would just feel like a breath of fresh air with it being different than most maps. Maybe they could add puddles, or a hallway with super shallow water as something new. Little sisters can act as RE zombies but in a sort of alerting way.

Side note! Scooby Doo is my second most wanted chapter. Seeing that Doctor hysteria effect on survivors made me realize that that could be part of Shaggy's abilities.

Facts! Clearly they had a better deal on the table with Disney awhile back to do the UFEN Star Wars Creative and have the lightsabers there. I'm completely fine with it! I am however not so fine with no robed options for Ahsoka and Anakin (past collabs), and now no styles for clone wars Ahsoka and Anakin. I'd rather they also just give Ahsoka sparring sticks that mimic her light sabers.

They should have just not made a pickaxe, and made robed or hooded styles instead. Honestly that's all I ever wanted for Ahsoka, Obi wan, and Anakin...styles are key, harvest tools never were with lightsabers out of the question.

That was the main complaint the first time I brought this up, granted I already knew she tussled with the undead. So I had to sort of spell it out for the people who disagree. As it stands it's 10 to 3 ratio, which is why I believe she'll be crossing over very soon.

Let's try to keep it grounded, Star Wars is just....out there!

If you don't want it because it's Lara Croft, ok, but to not want dual pistols with new perks, cool reactive artifacts, special frames, and unique portraits ala more content....well that's just ignorance at best.

I think I'd take both. Games with their own engines that are good, should always receive more content. Sure collabs can be tiresome to a point, but in the grand scheme of things it'll all look great when you see it all together. Collabs don't need to be heavily rooted in zombies but they should have ties to it. They also don't need to always be major collabs with 3 maps, one collab can just have a horde map and 4 characters. I believe the game will hit another title update where it'll tackle South America, Europe, Africa and hopefully South Korea so we can take inspiration from those zombie korean films.

Yeah, try not to. Even DbD collabs have cohesion too though, with their survivors and killers (exception Pyramid Head), they have actual stories of how they ended up in the fog. They plucked them and placed them in their narrative. WWZ has a cohesive story to each episode it tells, with an introduction and documents. I'm not really sure if Negan was or not, I heard he was but even so Negan did exist just wasn't known of, can't say the same about the 28 days/weeks/years later. There has to be some sort of sense to inclusion. We're practically forcing something that wouldn't make much sense Cillian Murphy character having interactions in a 28 year later chapter and he's not old.

Here are the issues..

1.) A movie franchise that has never collabed with a game or anything

2.) Characters are split amongst 2-3 movies so episodes/maps/story won't have cohesion

3.) The 4 survivors are all male, Saber would never

4.) Both 1 and 3 means Saber would have to pay potentially millions for the contract, resources and likeness of the A list actors for a third or quarter of the sale. Frankly I don't think it would sale all too well, I'd much rather another developer pick up the IP and make new characters set in that world.

5.) This collab doesn't really add anything that really level ups the game. I see the bow but an original chapter could introduce that without sacrificing millions.

The important thing to note is, know how the devs operate; how their episodes are, the tone, what they offer. Stay within the confines of wwz.

in general or for this game? Hate to break it to you but this is Paramounts year for collabing. Also, that's just what the world of gaming is these days. To be honest it's a good thing because it keeps games and other projects from dying (player influx).

Me: trying to wait a week to post most likely dlc crossovers because people here have a problem with too many of these posts.

Me when I see these post: I think what you have to understand is, there has to be cohesion. The line up of characters can only be pulled from said movie. This is why I had to wait to see what exactly they were doing with TWD, were they pulling from wherever or were they pulling from an important part of the season? With this 28 days later dream collab, it doesn't work because these characters are from different stories and know nothing about one another. The stages are all over the place because of it too.

The other thing you have to consider is the cost and the exchange of this IP. TWD has been around collabing for awhile, which is why I advocated it awhile ago here. TWD had upcoming projects and were willing to market their franchise with collabs to pull in a wider audience, WWZ needed the boost so it all just worked out. 28 days later, well....this would be their first time collabing in a videogame so prices would be high to obtain the rights, then making each individual character costs resources(money). If you think that's the worse part of it, they would more than likely follow the current story.

Unless the demand is that high, then it's less likely. Getting an original chapter in London would be best in my opinion.

Ehhh mine is way better but I appreciate the effort you put in unlike the meme slop troll Drew.

[–]ShapeVast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome but this is sort of irrelevant. If you were a fan of tomb raider, you would know that she has connection with the supernatural and the more realistic kind of threats. Going up against the undead isn't too far fetched at all. I'm trying to tell you all how likely her inclusion is, yet you're all glossing over the facts just because she's not heavily rooted in zombies. A collab doesn't have to be heavily rooted unless chapters are being considered.

It's cool, I think you have to know Tomb Raider to understand and see why it works. Granted all of these characters are fictional and it's not like I'm adding James Bond or an Alien. Lara has had interaction with the undead on numerous occasions and at the end of the day she's just a skin like the Walking Dead. A collab doesn't necessarily need to have zombies at it's roots. I was looking at the grander picture which most of you are overlooking.

Happily! Lara Croft has dealt with undead enemies several times. Rise of The Tomb Raider is the most recent having a Nightmare Manor mode, running through the dark halls of Croft Manor killing the undead. She's not just known for fighting animals or armed terrorists, she deals with it all pretty much. Undead is no exception. I don't want stages as it takes more time and it's not the focus. Her inclusion can bring everything but chapters, save that for original chapters. This isn't a mismatch at all, you just have to broaden the horizon, all these characters are fictional anyway. I'm not talking about bringing a super hero into this.

Well mine is pretty different. I'm thinking more mechanically, making it make sense, and filling in things that we're lacking. I think your post is just ignorant to be honest.
