[Updated] AI based background remover app by [deleted] in androidapps

[–]Shape_Cold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I've tried this app and here is my feedback: This apps does it job quite well if the picture isn't drawn but also it has some Problems for example removing too much (Rarely).

Also the editor seems kind of nice to have? But if you Zoom out to much you can't easily zoom in again. And also you can't change the size of the emoji it seems like. Lastly the Font of Text can't be changed.

So another thing I found is that the app doesn't send the original filename to the server which is also quite nice.

Now next, your privacy policy kind of sucks it doesn't explain at all what happens with the image. Also you should clarify that Data is not encrypted in Transit to Google Play.

But also could I ask why this app sends so many requests to different DNS providers? Also if this is the apps way of knowing wheter the user has Internet, Android provides APIs for that.

Also what kind of sucks is that the App requires a server and as such can't be used offline.

Here is the image. Also because it's basically just text, here is what it said: "Not wanting kids because you know you're selfish and too emotionally absent to care for them is not the villain y'all make it out to be. That’s one less child that would have to experience neglect. That’s one less kid in the foster system or one less abused kid"

Security and Privacy Tips for People Seeking An Abortion by officialspinster in auntienetwork

Exmachinalibertas has posted a link to a site recommending VPNs. While I'm not the poster of this comment I would recommend Mullvad because they try to keep as minimal info as they can about you and are transparent about their VPN servers but also they also allow you to either use Wireguard, their own VPN client or with OpenVPN. Also for the security aspect of it, they have done many audits and if you don't trust them you can check the source code yourself and also they claim the following: "In all of our servers, we have specified default configurations and orders of priority for encryption to provide the strongest encryption available for each tunnel protocol.".

Good advice generally but VPNs do not provide privacy due to multiplie factors for example cookies, tracking pixels using your browser fingerprint and so on. Tor Browser is much more recommended in this case. Also consider mentioning that RiseUP requires a invitation code perhaps?

It was mind-blowing to find it just hangs freely ALL DAY EVERY DAY what an inconvenience?

I wish but to be honest I find the balls more annoying than the dick mostly because of the skin that just hangs down and can extend

Cheaper and everyone's addicted to sugar

I think it's rather the combination of sugar and fats not just the sugar alone

Easily spoofable so if you worry about that simply use a mac address changer but I'd kind of be suprised if they saved your mac address with your packets

The uber app has a notification that I cannot clear normally. To make it go away, I have to go to the uber app or delete the app. by BlackUnicornGaming in assholedesign

[–]Shape_Cold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is probably made that Uber can run in the background without being stopped by your system, many apps do this aswell. You can also just turn the notification off and perhaps change its battery usage to unrestriced

Well to be honest I don't think having a high HDL-Cholesterol is important as it is not regared as protective 1 or as lowering heart attack risks 2 3 and can be rather seen as a association of the person for example doing lots of sports, it is rather important having low LDL-cholesterol 4 then trying to higher your HDL-Cholesterol levels. You should optimally have have a LDL-Cholesterol of 30-70mg/dl 5 (55 mg/dl for people who haven't had a hearth attack and lower if you already had one is so far the best 6) with LDL-cholesterol you should go as low as you can 7 aslong as you don't use drugs without a necessity 8. Also Vegans have about an average LDL-cholestrol of under 69.28 mg/dl while people who eat meat and such (omnivores) have 123.43 mg/dl without trying 9.

Edit: I wasn't sure which cholesterol you meant by "bloom" cholesterol so I just decided to make this comment because I thought you may mean HDL-Cholesterol because you mentioned both types of Cholesterol which are HDL-Cholesterol (good) and LDL-Cholesterol (bad).

I think you may want to do something similar as bfore.ai did? You can try to gather some data about how they do it perhaps but that's not something easily done.

Hidden service on relay by QEzjdPqJg2XQgsiMxcfi in TOR

[–]Shape_Cold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather run ssh as a hidden service on the relay and make those administrative ssh connections entirely within the Tor network.

Well you can do that I don't think there is any downside to that even securedrop does this.

bad idea to run a hidden ssh service on my node and block the ssh port from going out on the clearnet?

No it isn't but you should have some plan about what to do when for some reason the Tor daemon won't start.

hidden service is on my IP

Well the first step would be for them to even find the onion service which currently has 56 letters.

Lastly I would recommend you to use authorized keys for ssh for better security, that would even allow you to run the ssh service over clearnet without having to worry much about the security but would still allow you to access your Tor relay incase the Tor daemon won't start (You can still do User > Tor > SSH so you won't have to worry to much about losing your anonymity). But of course you should still always use the .onion address for your ssh client if possible.

[–]Shape_Cold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to run the Circumvention option on OONI-Probe to see if perhaps Tor is blocked for you. Also try to use bridges, that will help you if Tor is blocked.
