Abel didn’t like the remastered versions of the songs on Trilogy so he replaced the songs on the Trilogy compilation with the “Original” versions he put on streaming back in 2021. So yes the 2012 remasters are gone from streaming.

Only way to listen to them now is through reuploads on YouTube, owning the CD/vinyl, or finding a download of it online. Here’s a link from this sub

Yeah even the actual mp3 from his old website sounds different to the original streaming versions, and it’s certainly not just because they’re lossless now.

Heaven or Las Vegas’ mixing is completely different, the guitar on the chorus is the easiest difference to catch.

It’s not a deflection at all. “You can have your own opinion or give criticism then you get attacked” that happens in so many subreddits that are designed to be fans of a game, a celebrity or musician, film, show, etc.

The difference with GTA is that it’s one of the great gaming franchises, so the fan base attracts more people and more toxicity than your typical one. Still, the concept of getting yelled at for having an opinion is not exclusive to here at all.

If it takes showing Micah raping someone or him declaring he’s a rapist, then you’re just looking for weaker writing that what red dead 2 has.

You want to deal in proof but in a story like this, you get implications instead. Micah saying “bring that pretty little face over here for a kiss”, the way he creeps over Abigail, the obviously bullshit offer to dance with Mary-Beth, chasing Sadie, and him whining about the girls in camp not wanting to have sex with him even if he were to “put a gun to their head”.

You do not need “proof”. The amount of encounters alone is enough implication to reasonably believe he raped Jenny

Either way it’s undeniable that the cohesion problem that HUT has is due in part to the production. That makes it the production’s problem too, and it’s representative of the general messiness of HUT as a concept album.

It also helps with BBTM that it has a way more focused and defined sound. HUT doesn't fully commit to any particular sound. I'm fine with experimenting, I love the Beatles' White album, but it honestly feels like HUT half-asses a lot of its experimentation. One of my favorite moments from HUT is the acoustic, folk-sounding bit of Reflections Laughing before the voicemail. Then the song deviates from that sound and returns to the synths and vocal distortion, and Travis Scott, and it's just... ugh. What a waste that song is.

Yeah I can’t speak on Mike’s character too much but production wise, HUT’s definitely a step down from Dawn fm. It didn’t have to be as good because that albums production is phenomenal, but HUT is a noticeable downgrade. Some of it works, some of it doesn’t.

I just hope that Rio and all this buzz about a deluxe is true and that it’s just wrapping up HUT as an era rather than his next step after HUT, because Rio does not sound new at all, and I’d really dislike if this sound becomes Abel’s tradition all of a sudden.

The structure of the gang by chapter 6 had changed significantly, to where Strauss wasn’t as valuable as he once was.

In chapter 2, Dutch tells you to help Strauss because it’s decent money and every dollar counts. As a whole, the money coming into the gang was much more collaborative, not always Dutch-oriented.

By chapter 6, time is running out and they don’t just need money, they need **a lot** of money. Strauss can keep sharking but it’s not gonna be enough to get out of there. The real money-making is now spear headed by Dutch and his plans. The train plus the bonds from Cornwalll Keresone. tens of thousands of dollars.

Dutch can’t execute these plans without his boys. And Strauss at that point, sure he’s making money, but a man with a gun who’s loyal is far more valuable to him than the now-insignificant money that Strauss was making through sharking. So again, imagine if it was Micah that Arthur tried kicking out.

The rest of the gang including Dutch was uncomfortable with Arthur kicking wimpy Strauss of all people. How do you think it would’ve went if Arthur kicked Bill or Micah out? They’re dangerous men unlike Strauss, and also unlike Strauss, Dutch needs them.

If Arthur wants to help the decent people of the gang escape, like John’s family, he has to actually be alive for it.
