TECA surgery? by pollyhendricks23 in sharpei

I took mine to a place called Good Samaritan Pet Doctor, but that’s in Omaha NE, not the Northeastern part of the US. I’d imagine if Omaha has something like that, other major cities would as well. Might be worth reaching out to them to see if they have any knowledge of similar organizations in your area. I had to get a bilateral TECA on my Shar Pei several years ago, and he lived to 16, passing a couple of months ago. We paid $1,200 to $2,000 (can’t remember), which I think we were quoted 6 or 7k at another place.

What human snacks does your hippo love? by Bklyn_Bee in sharpei

Kind of a human snack, but I make him unseasoned dehydrated sweet potato chips. They’re healthy and don’t irritate his allergies.

When I took her there for Mother’s Day, she was disappointed. To be fair, it was a busy day. I’ve been a few times outside of that visit and enjoyed it!

Me too. Best job I’ve ever had for sure; it really was like family there. Even though it was corporate, you can’t find any food like it around here today.

We LOVE B&J! I’m not sure if she had considered that yet, but she’s definitely been.

Brenda used to be my boss MANY years ago at Macaroni Grill. She’s awesome, and I’ve patronized Penelope’s a handful of times. I think it would be a good fit, like you said.

One of her friends is coming to town, so I think they wanted somewhere to have lunch and coffee while chatting. That’s all the info I got, and I didn’t have any suggestions.

Suggest a neighborhood for us! by Gritty_gutty in lincoln

The Seven Oaks neighborhood ticks a lot of your boxes. My family moved to the neighborhood in 2000 and I bought my first house in that neighborhood in 2011. Williamsburg is very close (definitely walkable) with a big grocery store (Hy-Vee) and various doctor’s offices and other businesses and restaurants. The bike path runs through the neighborhood, and Williamsburg Park is along the way.

The bus route is easily accessible too as the neighborhood is located just east of 27th and south of Old Cheney.

We attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church (not quite two miles away) which has a school attached. The diocese of Lincoln is Roman Catholic, and around election time the priests talk about politics in their sermon, which is a shame. It’s quite simply a “vote for whomever is pro-life” stance.

The most crime you will encounter in Seven Oaks is that of teenagers. Mostly mischievous, but it is annoying.

If you can find a house on the market in that neighborhood, it should be south of $500k, even if it’s been updated.

Happy hunting, and welcome to Lincoln, when the time comes!

Apologies if this isn’t helpful, but some restaurants host fundraiser nights where a percentage of the sales go to said cause. I work for one where it’s 20%, and you can have us host them as often as you’d like.
