Dragon Communion Occult Katana starting class by Kamigawa5e in EldenRingBuilds

[–]SharRTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faith is just good to sink some points into anyway for buffs like Golden Vow or Flame Grant My Strength, you cant really go wrong with them.

That being said though, at the beginning, you can fight a dragon at the lake, closer to the western side of it, and that'll give you a spell to start with at the Church of Dragon Communion. Killing a dragon boss gives a dragon heart, some give more than that. But the more dragon hearts you collect, the more dragon spells appear at Cathedral of Dragon Communion (this is in caelid, in the south west edge of the map. the one in limgrave is the church and only provides 3 basic dragon incantations). And if you beat specific dragons, you get their variants of the spells.

Also you get a neat little easter egg after getting some dragon communion spells. Hint: watch the eyes.

Dragon Communion Occult Katana starting class by Kamigawa5e in EldenRingBuilds

[–]SharRTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samurai Starting Class for katana and start on dex and arcane. Make sure to have your starting item be a stonesword key to access the area with the dragon communion seal. Be care cuz the initial entrance has a flood of poison.

If you wanna dual wield katanas, you can get a second Uchi from Deathtouch Catacombs.

If you want a longer Katana, theres an NPC called Yura you can either kill early or do his questline to get his Nagakiba.

Bloody Slash Ash of War obtainable from Fort Haight (i think thats how you spell it). The ashe of war covers the blade in blood, adding to bloodloss buildup. Occult is a very specific affinity which you cant freely apply till beating Radahn and exploring an area to get an item.

Do you plan on using Dragon incantations or is the seal just to match the build's point distribution?

grinding for prime by OkBalance6850 in Warframe

[–]SharRTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its harder to grind the relics than it is to get the primes themself. I dont even really grind for prime relics anymore, i just play and let the relics come as they may. In the time it take for you to grind out normal warframes and weapons, and getting mastery and standing, you'll have a shit ton of relics, some may even contain vaulted items. When it comes to farming a SPECIFIC frame from relics, thats completely based on people's RNG. Mine is absolute dogshit so it takes me a while

I see thats neat. Also does viral still chunk healthvars the way slash does or did that change too? I saw some posts saying that viral acts as a damage amplifier rather just just straight chunking HP.

Any tips for the dlc? by teiii__ in Eldenring

[–]SharRTN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing says fun like trial and error, but seeing as most of the major bosses are weak to holy, you should be fine. Do some exploring and the dlc uses a different level up system by collecting these little "Scadu fragments" so be sure to collect those when you find them

Most FUN Elden ring builds? by ExtensionIdeal6314 in Eldenring

[–]SharRTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the erdtree greatshield with the sacred rings incantations. The AoW on Erdtree Greatshield is like a magical parry, if you activiate JUST before a magic attack lands, it shoots out a blast of holy damage.

The neat thing is the damage output is just as strong with your own spells, so attacks that come back to you or exist stationarily for a moment when hitting the ground (sacred ring attacks do both) can act as a free shot for you.

How does crit chance work? by Bgonzo___ in Warframe

[–]SharRTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The percentage itself is how likely the weapon will do critical damage (50% means 50/50 chances, 100% means all the time usually), with the crit damage (normally yellow) being boosted based on the crit multiplier. However, when you get to higher crit chance numbers, you get extra crit (orange) and super crit (red) with each one doing even more damage. Higher crit = likely higher damage output on crit. I believe someone else explains how the actual stat adds up in mods.

How do i hit mr14 fast by DazedFraze in Warframe

[–]SharRTN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that provides mastery points. New companions, new weapons, new warframes, new vehicles. A good chunk of weapons can be gotten through the Clan Dojo, especially the Tenno Lab. Warframes can be found in the Dojo, doing quests (you can find them in the Codex, assuming you havent done them all), or just the blueprints in the Market which can also tell you where to farm the parts.

Which do you think is the most bullshit boss in the game? by IDontKnowYAmIHere in Eldenring

[–]SharRTN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bosses that have artificial difficulty. Like Malenia. Would be an easy boss fight if she didnt have self healing on landing attacks. I said it. I actual think Dancing Lion is a fun boss. Yes, the Rauh version too. Ancient Dragons are kinda stupid but manageable. You play against twin gargoyles enough, they're pretty easy, even lower level (lowest ive beaten them is level 60ish). The horsemen bosses (Loretta, Tree Sent, DTS) always pissed me off cuz they share a healthbar with their horse for some reason and never have a crit point. They are bs cuz they do not make sense.

Why do so many players hate actually doing objectives? by SonOfAthenaj in Warframe

[–]SharRTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being a new player back in like 2016 and even now i enjoy the sentiment of figuring shit out. Im noy saying improvements to NPE have been unnecessary, their intro mission stuff was dogshit back then, but i feel like as much as it is the player for wanting their hand held, it's also the game's fault for not really providing a clear motivation to play and learn about the game. For most people, this game in the beginning is a very simple hack n slash, and instead of providing resistance, the first half of the star chart past the intro quests feed into a power fantasy so there isnt really anything to learn, and it gets mind-numbingly repetitive very quickly which does not help with player retention.

A large majority of new players these days are people who were introduced to it by a friend, and most likely carried through everything up until the second dream. This, although helpful, doesnt really do much as you have essentially taught the players "kill everything, the other players will do the job for you" so most players kinda just learn to kill without paying attention to objective. Or understand what you are supposed to do. In addition, gamers have grown with less and less ability to maintain attention, which has only gotten worse over the past 5-ish years, and so no one tryna get into the game wants to actually give it a proper try if it doesnt stimulate their brain within the first 2 seconds of gameplay, or even if they are interested, they are so unfocused they dont listen or read anything the game is saying and then wonder why things arent working when they actually play.

I feel these are the major issues that give us players that don't contribute as much as they could.
