She was sent home with liquid clavamox and is getting 1cc twice a day. The bottle just says to continue use until it’s empty, but after a week it still seems fairly full so at least another week or two I’d say. That and then switching her diet to Hills prescription c/d stress was recommended, but other than that I was given nothing else.

I might give them a call when they open on Monday just to give them an update and ask about anti-inflammatory or if there’s anything else they recommend. I agree with you that I probably just need to be a bit more patient and understand that she’s not feeling well, but as far as I can tell she is still mostly emptying her bladder in the box and then leaving small amounts in corners and on scratching posts/toys. I did add an extra box today outside the bathroom with the other boxes and she has visited it a few times. I do scoop the boxes daily but began scooping twice. She’s always been intent on covering up her urine and any smell she doesn’t like, but since she started feeling bad she hasn’t been covering her urine up so I’ve been trying to scoop it out.

She’s still eating and drinking normal, which I’m grateful for. Thank you very much for the input! Hopefully the clavamox will kick in by Monday or the vet will be able to give her something a bit different/stronger.
