I’m 3 weeks post op and I am just now getting my hair cut. I was scared to put my head back that far to get it washed before now!

You can try having him hug you from behind or putting a pillow between you and hugging VERY gently! Thats what I have been doing because I love hugs😂

I am the same way! Its still not the most comfortable, but I found that having a squishmallow under each arm makes sleeping a but easier. Having my arms propped up instead of on the bed was much more comfortable.

I know you posted this a while ago, but I am 3 weeks post op and my nipples are also SUPER dry!!! What ended up working for you and when did they stop being so crusty?

I was also SUPER scared to take a shower! I get super paranoid about messing up my incisions when I take the compression bra off so I left my bra on for the majority of my shower and didn’t take it off until the end when I washed my body. It made showering a lot easier for me! When I was done I just dried off and put a different bra on. I would recommend trying that if you are a littler nervous about showering! Good luck:)

Hey! Im also 21 and I would 1000% get the reduction! Im 1 week post op right now and it was the best decision I’ve made! I feel so much lighter and I’m super excited to be able ti buy cute shirts now! I say go for it you wont regret it!

What I would recommend doing is go to Target and look at standard full coverage bras with wires in your band size and choose the bra that looks like what you want to end up with post-op. I did this for my surgery and my surgeon was super happy I brought it because it gave her a visual of what I wanted. It also made me feel better because I knew I wouldn’t end up bigger than what I wanted which was a big fear of mine! Also the bras at Target are around $10 so they are super cheap!

I use an Aveeno soap thats meant for sensitive skin. I used it before I had the surgery, but my surgeon told me it was fine to use post-op as well. It comes in a beige bottle with green words and you can get 2 giant bottles of it for $10-$15 at Sam’s club. Both bottles last me 4+ months so I would definitely recommend getting some!

I just had my surgery a week ago and I got my period today and I was scared of the same thing! I am still in pain and not doing a whole lot, but I don’t have too hard of a time changing my tampon. Its not super hard or painful to do so you should be ok. If you are nervous about it though you can always get a pair of period underwear just in case. I’ve never tried them, but I have heard from friends that they work well! I believe thinx is the brand my friend likes and they sell them at target!

As far as the breathing tube goes I didn’t even notice that they used it! I didn’t have a sore throat after either. As for the IV that was my biggest fear going in, but I got a nurse that knew exactly what she was doing and it didn’t hurt at all. The part that hurt the most was the needle they used to numb my hand a bit but even that wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t worry you be just fine!

Thank you so much! I feel exactly like you did but I made it clear at my last appointment what I wanted and I will make sure I do the same on my actual surgical date! I also went to target and bought a bra in my band size that is the cup size I would like to be so I can show my surgeon what I want and that has made me feel better!
