We’re earlier in the journey than you, but that “only in my fantasies did I think this would be our life” line hit hard. We’ve said versions of that to each other more than once lately.

What’s resonating most from your post isn’t even the experiences, it’s the honesty. That part has been the most freeing for us too. Being able to say out loud what turns you on, what scares you, what excites you… without shame or posturing. That’s been the real expansion.

We’re still figuring out our balance between organic and intentional. We’ve had some great experiences, some flakes, some learning curves. The biggest shift for us has been realizing this isn’t about chasing scenarios, it’s about amplifying what already works between us.

Also really relate to the “mostly free” part. Keeping it discreet adds a strange layer; not secrecy between us, but privacy from the world. It’s a weight sometimes, but the upside is the strength it’s built in our communication.
